It was great!! Arizona gave President Bush a WARM welcome. I heard it was 115 here today, and it felt like it while we walked to the colliseum. It was definately worth a little heat to see President Bush. He is a good man, and Character Counts! Chants of 4 more years rang throughout the building, and we ROCKED the house. One statement President Bush made that I believe we need to hear more of is, "Healthcare decisions should be made by Doctors and Patients, not attorneys." President Bush touched on many topics, including John Kerry and his ability to change positions numerous times. President Bush said when he introduced the Healthy Forest Bill, John F. Kerry said, "We're taking a chainsaw to public forests. Now apparently he supports many of the ideas in the Healthy Forest Bill. Well, as President Bush said, "Not only Wildfires shift with the wind." President Bush showed a great deal of support for our troops. He said, "Remember, We must take threats seriously before they fully materialize." The crowd cheered and rose to their feet. President Bush stated, "There is nothing complicated about supporting our troops!" The strength of this country IS the Heart & Soul of America! President Bush needs our support now more than ever. Please register to vote and make sure everyone you know is registered! Remember, Friends don't let friends vote Democrat!

I thought his best line was...

"You need to re-elect me because we need 4 more years of Laura."

Heh heh heh....

Thanks for posting. It was a great evening. The crowd loved him.

Yes, he needs to keep using the healthcare line, Doctors, patients and attorneys, they can't all be in control, I guess Kerry made his choice when he picked his VP.

It was certainly WARM, but it was also LOUD!! I wondered if President Bush had earplugs. I have never heard the coliseum so loud.

The local TV channels covered it fairly well with Channel 12 interviewing a Kerry campaign worker complaining that her ticket was lifted once they recognized her. Too bad. :)

Mention of the U.N. drew a round of boos. Bush pledged to never let American defense be dictated by foreign powers. This got people on their feet.

I heard 20,000+

THe official capacity is in the region of 17,000 but since the floor was also used the crowd was bigger. KFYI Radio said they heard it was approaching 25,000

I took pictures too. I was to the left of President Bush.
I will try to post a couple of pictures tomorrow.
We were really happy to see lots of young people and families. Also lots of Veterans.
Does anybody have contact information for the Billionaires for Bush who had the counter protest at the gate? I thanked them for being there and gave them a business card. I have heard something about them before, but I can't remember where.

Bush said that Kerry, the anti-war candidate had finally gotten around to agreeing that we should have gone into Iraq. Kerry admitted this just this week and 200+ days after he stated that we shouldn't have gone into Iraq.

Bush: "I'm glad that my opponent finally has supported my decision"

"However, there's still 84 days left before the election and plenty of time for him to change his mind again!"

Wonderful!

Did you get to listen to KFYI after the rally. People were calling in just absolutely raving about what a great job President Bush did.

The Iraqi American (Assyrian Christian) was just so emotional and sincere. A sixteen year old girl called in and was just thrilled. Kept gushing about how sincere our President is -- and very surprised at how she reacted to his speech. A mother with three sons in the military (two in Iraq) saying how everyone just loves President Bush -- and not just the women! And, what a great man he is.

Another foot closer and I could have shook his hand! Had to settle for this photo.
