If there was nothing illegal about being between, why did he make such an issue of this for so many years? - what a putz.......

Christmas 1968 saw Lyndon Johnson as President, Nixon was elected 8-9 weeks earlier, but not in office yet.
Did Nixon command special ops military forces while still president-elect?
