"Our middle school actually allows skateboards on their premises and can be carried around like a book!"

Wow. I can't believe they'd allow that. They're just asking to be sued.

SSCPOWW...

POW? My ex was special forces and served in a group of five Special Forces that covertly rescued POWs aka "war criminals" in Vietnam. Very powerful nuances... Thanks for your family's most important sacrifices...

The school is asking for it, alright. But when the kids ask for it, we still have corporal discipline. If you DON'T want your kid to have this discipline, you sign the waiver, not the other way around.

Skateboading is fine but safety first, responsibilities second, and if you still have time, skateboard in designated areas and be respectful of other persons and property. (This is very good but reality bites!)

Broken bones, broken laws, and law suits predominate this issue...

Best to you, signed the mother of a skateboarding ADDICT!! ba7, kypd

ps "war criminals" was a dig on the Vietcong and Scary Kerry supporters... I think POWs are heroes!
