John Kerry is either a "war hero" or a "war criminal"
Can't have it both ways.
John Kerry and War Crimes in Vietnam
He was in command of a Swift Boat
and ordered his men to do these things.
Listen to this 1971 audio clip in Kerry's own words.
LONG BEFORE THE '04 Election
Listen Here
John Kerry went before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations in 1971
to accuse the United States military
of committing massive numbers of war crimes in Vietnam.
So my question is did Kerry lie about his "heroism" or the "atrocities" that he took part in?
Did he lie to his superiors in Dec 68 - March 69 to obtain his medals or did he lie in 1971?
And if he didn't lie then why didn't he report the crimes that he saw?
After all he was in command of a Swift Boat, not just a crew member following orders.
All John Kerry has to do is authorize the release of ALL of his military records.
OR admit that he lied in 1971.
Kerry made Vietnam the center of his campaign.
It's up to Kerry and Kerry only to set the record straight.
BEFORE NOV 2nd.
BTW...the Missuz describes it as a "Curse"...LOL!!
You know, this is getting to the point where I'm almost starting to feel sorry for JFnK.
I AM starting to feel sorry for the honest folks out there putting all their eggs in his basket. I hope they like 'em scrambled . . .
sKerry stated he took part in these war crimes. I think we need to find out if he was ordered to do so or whether he acted on his own.
"I think we need to find out if he was ordered to do so or whether he acted on his own."
We need to press this issue, among others.
Just what did he lie about?
Either it was his "heroics" or his "crimes"
He lied, but about what?
Or Husbands, she changes them pretty often too.
Thanks for the ping.
John Kerry needs help getting ALL of his military records.

I served 2 years off shore of Vietnam from 66-68 on a supply ship which was home ported out of Japan and received combat pay every month for those two years. I then volunteered to serve for another year on the swift boats, serving on the YRBM 17 Delta Devil repair barge stationed in beautiful Dong Tam. I came in country just as the Tet offensive started and had the pleasure of spending a month in Siagon while Charley did his best to ensure that we did not make it home.
As part of the repair crew of the YRBM 17 I came into daily contact with all of the Delta swifts, their commanders and crew. We spent many nights drinking and BSing. I also spent 2 months in Anthoi training the electrical crew of the repair ship which serviced the PBRs from that area.
Im definitely not a Kerry supporter nor do I carry GWs water but I have voted for him in the last election and plan to vote for him in the next.
That being said I have heard many people talk of these atrocities. These were stories told by boat crews talking about putting telephone insulation testers called grinders to their nads and cranking up the voltage to make them talk. I also heard stories about throwing prisoners out of high flying helicopters to get the ones that were left to talk. It was common knowledge that a necklace of human ears was worn by the real bad asses to let the enemy know how bad we really were.
These stories would come up after about the sixth beer and, as one would start, the next one had to be worse than the last. The purpose of these stories was to convince your fellow drinkers and anyone who would listen that you were a real man of war since we were all teenagers.
No one actually believed any of this crap, we were all scared shitless when the shit hit the fan but afterwards (with the help of a few beers) we were all bad asses once again. Only a dumbass dwebe like Kerry could or would try to make some political gain from these tall tales.

Kerry got to leave Vietnam early because of the three purple hearts. Apparently he got sent to a cushy desk job as an aide to a general in New York.
Does anyone know if he completed his tour or did he get out of the service early, as he accuses Bush of doing.
There doesn't seem to be much written about what he did after Vietnam but before he left the service. Was he on active duty when he was throwing his medals over the fence?
Are you talking about this report?
Thomas Wright was one of John F. Kerry's fellow Swift boat officers in Vietnam. Since Wright outranked Kerry, he was Kerry's sometime boat group Officer-in-Charge, so Wright had occasion to observe Kerrys behavior and attitudes, and the circumstances surrounding his early departure from the war zone. The intervening years have not dimmed his memories.
I had a lot of trouble getting him to follow orders, recalls Wright. He had a different view of leadership and operations. Those of us with direct experience working with Kerry found him difficult and oriented towards his personal, rather than unit goals and objectives. I believed that overall responsibility rested squarely on the shoulders of the OIC or OTC in a free-fire zone. You had to be right (before opening fire). Kerry seemed to believe there were no rules in a free-fire zone and you were supposed to kill anyone. I didnt see it that way.
It got to a point where Wright told his divisional commander he no longer wanted Kerry in his boat group, so he was re-assigned to another one. I had an idea of his actions but didnt have to be responsible for him. Then Wright and like-minded boat officers took matters into their own hands. When he got his third Purple Heart, three of us told him to leave. We knew how the system worked and we didnt want him in Coastal Division 11. Kerry didnt manipulate the system, we did.
And let's not forget the meeting he attended WHILE STILL IN THE MILITARY where assassinations of Senators was discussed and he NEVER reported it to the authorities. This is backed up by FBI reports as well as eyewitnesses:
See my post #93, the story is there.
Has any reporter ever asked Kerry whether he really did set the village on fire and shoot that kid in the back?
War criminal Tonk, He said so himself, and a traitor to boot!
