You just don't understand.

They have already wasted $150,000,000.00 plus in one of the most ineffective campaigns in history, so people like you are going to have to pay up so these guys can waste even more of it.

A lot of that money goes to copy machine expenses so they can get their resumes out to think tanks for jobs after they blow this election - which should have been a sure bet in competent hands.

And before you even respond, no, Karl Rove and Karen Hughes and Peggy Noonan are not geniuses who will rescue the campaign at the last moment.

When entering into a contest do you always think negative and envision your own defeat beforehand?

I agree with your assessment of the Bush campaign, which has gone from "can't lose" in 2002 to "thin ice" currently. Bush's campaign heads are directly responsible for this and the ineffectiveness of the current Republican leadership is why I switched my voter registration to Independent last month.

I heard someone visited the Bush-Cheney '04 National HQ in Arlington, Virginia and they said it looked like a bunch of kids were running the program. I have lobbied before for some Lee Atwater-styled campaigning...a "win at all costs" and "fight until the end" logic. Internet video clips by the B-C 04 camp aren't effective and they've squandered valuable opportunities thus far.
