Within no time at all the story became these guys are low, they are all lies. The media is giving Kerry 20 or more points in this election.

You mean the fact that Kerry shot some kid fleeing in the back means nothing....

time to freep the nets big time. We can't let them get away with this whitewash.
To: NotchJohnson
Bush's 7 minutes compared to Kerry's admitted 40 minutes. Bush beats him again.

Does anyone still have a media contact list? This Swift Vet and 7-minute thing really has me riled up (more than usual) and there is nothin better to ease the blood pressure than to mail a few nasty e-mails.

is being denounced as quote, 'dishonest and dishonorable' by a Bush supporter, Republican Senator John McCainJohn McCain, thank you for speaking out on only one side of the issue and giving the above ammunition to the likes of Dan rather and his ilk. What the heck is the matter with you? Have you talked to these guys and made an independent assessment of whether or not they are telling the truth??? There have been negative ads galore coming out of the left but you are stone-cold silent on that. Those ads are blatently false. Why have you chosen to wade in on only one side of this issue .. the wrong side?

McCain is simply hedging his bets - he backs Republicans and Bush unless Hanoi John French Kerry wins in which case he believes he's cemented Secretary of Defense.

My Mom & Dad supported John McCain in his 1st run for public office in AZ. They met/talked with him and liked his stance on issues (back in the early 80's). However, my dad (see tag line, Mr. Callahan is my late father, passed in 1989), would be on the phone in an absolute fury at how this man now plays both sides, simply to garner media attention. Hope Daddy's not spinning now.

and totally ignore Ketchup boy's stunned stupor 35 minute gap between actually seeing on TV the second plane go in and hearing the pentagon get hit.

Does anyone still have a media contact list? The very best "media contact" list that I've found is at: http://congress.nw.dc.us/politicsol/dbq/media/ It is very, very slow, but has many, many e-mail addresses for media reporters. Click on a state (major networks are in NY), then the particular media outlet.

Hindsight is 20/20. I remember that on 9/11, my wife called me to tell me a plane had crashed into the WTC. I figured it was a small private plane, off course. After a space of time for the facts to get out, and given a second crash, the reality sank in. But, were I president and an aide whispered to me "a plane has crashed into the WTC", I may well have not drawn the conclusion that it was a terrorist attack.

You are right. What was Bush supposed to do if he heard a plane hit the World Trade Center? Was he supposed to jump up and shout "holy shit!"
To: Always Right
You mean the fact that Kerry shot some kid fleeing in the back means nothing....No, it does not. The "kid" was an irregular fighter who had just shot a RPG at our troops, and while possibly wounded was running with a weapon in his hands away. Thus he was an enemy fighter. Find and kill. That's the way the game is played.
