Since details of this vicious crime started coming out, I was waiting to read the excuse, and apparently this is it:
"There is the childlike immaturity of not really understanding what she did, while at the same time wanting what happened to have happened," Blusiewicz said. "As hard as it is for an adult to understand this, many children don't realize how final death is."

"There is the childlike immaturity of not really understanding what she did, while at the same time wanting what happened to have happened," Blusiewicz said. "As hard as it is for an adult to understand this, many children don't realize how final death is." Bullsh!t. These are two mad dog psychopaths who need to be put down haste. Anyone who would voluntarily defend them is also an oxygen theif.

Harvey's attorney, however, described the girl as a sobbing 15-year-old who doesn't understand the long-range implication of what's happened.
BULLSH*T!! Even 6 year olds know it is wrong to kill another human being.
Rotten, slimy, opportunistic POS lawyers...

"As hard as it is for an adult to understand this, many children don't realize how final death is." That stuck in my mind. I'm not so old that I don't remember what it was like to be fifteen. I knew what death was, I fully understood (and had, for years) the finality of death. Its not so difficult a concept that some would have us think.
They knew exactly what they were doing...they just didn't care.

"How, people wonder, could two young girls be charged with such a heinous crime?" No. People wonder how two young girls could commit such a heinous crime.
What kind of dipsh*t wonders how they could be charged?

Holly Harvey, right, and her friend, Sandra Ketchum, left, are accused of killing Harvey's grandparents in the couple's home outside Atlanta on Monday night.

Execute them both and move on. They're done.

Hmmm...let's see...
Do you mean to tell me that homosexuals (or those purporting to be so) are narcissists, only caring for themselves and their needs and wants?
Wow, what a revelation - thanks to all you "progressives" for corrupting our children.
Lord have mercy.

Being emotionally immature, shallow and selfish (all part of being a teen) are still not excuses for murder. Of course they are crying! They got caught and now they are being made accountable for their actions.

the girl as a sobbing 15-year-old who doesn't understand the long-range implication of what's happened. BS!
Why do you think she's sobbing?
It's obviously not for her grandparents, whom she and her enlisted friend REPEATEDLY stabbed,
it's for her own ungrateful murderous SELF!

No, that's not the real excuse that they will use in court. They will say in the court room that the girls were mentally ill due to the persecution they felt from society because they are gay.

This reminds me of the story of Anne Perry the famous mystery writer. The movie, "Heavenly Creatures" with Kate Winslet, directed by Peter Jackson, tells the true story of the friendship of Perry (Juliet Hulme) and Pauline Parker. Kate played the part of Juliet Hulme.
The two friends, living in Australia, killed the mother of Pauline Parker. They went to prison for several years. Their motive was that they were about to be separated and were trying to avoid it.
After the girls got out of prison, Juliet took on the name of Anne Perry and now lives in England. In the following interview, Perry talks about the film. http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/2194/faq2/Section_4/4.9.html

These were planned murders; and these two, no matter what their age; should pay the price.

"During the entire hearing she was crying. I think she's pretty much acting like a scared 15-year-old, which is exactly what she is." Forgive me if I seem just a little bit less than sympathetic.

The collier's more or less raised Holly and spent so much time trying to help her and in return she made their lives a misery and brutally killed them and she doesn't even care. It's disgusting.
