Friday, Aug. 6, 2004 Hypocrite Kerry 'Couldn't Think' for 40 Minutes on 9/11

John Kerry is getting his comeuppance for his snotty comments about President Bush's actions on 9/11.

Here's what the Massachusetts Democrat said July 8 when Larry King asked where he was on 9/11, according to CNN's own transcript:

'Nobody Could Think'

"I was in the Capitol. We'd just had a meeting - we'd just come into a leadership meeting in Tom Daschle's office, looking out at the Capitol. And as I came in, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon. And then word came from the White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation."

How appropriate that Kerry lumps himself in with fellow left-wing non-thinkers such as Boxer, Daschle and Reid.

Thanks to the several readers today who sent us this fascinating bit from Blog for Bush: "the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think.'"

And here's what former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told the New York Post about Kerry's latest display of insolence:

"John Kerry must be frustrated in his campaign if he is armchair-quarterbacking based on cues from Michael Moore.

"John Kerry is an indecisive candidate [with] an inconsistent position on the War on Terror, who voted against funding for our troops and who cannot give a clear answer on his position concerning the decision to remove Saddam Hussein."

This excuse for an American, is bashing GWB for seven minutes of silence when even Katie Couric didn't think it was a terror attack...

...when he and his fellow traitors couldn't string two words together for FORTY?

Combat engagements last less than 7 minutes - and this putz is supposed to be a combat vet?!?

Outstanding! Fits the bill, alright. Yes, Kerry is really America's man -- our national saviour that is going to show GWB how to fight a war on terror.....well here is his latest installment, a clip from Rush's show, about how Kerry says he is better for the job BECAUSE HE WILL FIGHT A "SENSITIVE" WAR ON TERROR!!!!!

Kerry Will Fight "Sensitive" War

August 5, 2004

Listen to Rush…
(…play Kerry describing his plan for "sensitive" war)

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: John Kerry today spoke to the Unity 2004 Journalists of Color conference. This was in Washington. He was speaking to this group while Bush was signing the defense appropriation bill, and this is among the many things that Senator Kerry said"

KERRY: I believe I can fight a more effective, more thoughtful, more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war on terror that reaches out to other nations and brings them to our side and lives up to American values in history.

RUSH: I was watching this, and before he said this, he was talking about going out to, you know, meeting with the imams and the mullahs and the clerics in these "moderate Arab countries" who don't want to see us in a war next to them. But I'm just wondering how he defines "sensitive." I have no clue, folks. I'm not going to pretend to understand what a "sensitive war on terror" is. I don't even understand the use of the word "sensitive" with "war," and I certainly don't know what was sensitive about torching, you know, a civilian village with a Zippo. But you know, I wasn't there.

So there must be -- there's got to be -- of course he won't be asked this, is the problem. These unity journalists will sit there. They were just are going gaga. I mean, it was like almost taking off their underwear and throwing it at him like they used to do with Elvis. It was just -- it was just (sigh) I don't know. But no question about, "What do you mean about a 'sensitive' war on terror?"

END TRANSCRIPT

Yes, that is what we need in the war on terror, a pandering, limp wristed, elitist Marxist who will kiss the rears of every terrorist and enemy of the U.S. Can the America people stand this??? God help us.

Unfortunately, Kerry merely evacuated in his pants.

So President Bush beat him into action by 33 minutes.
Excellent.

Now for the Prez to beat him into submission in November!

Not only did they wait 40 minutes to do anything, the Senate Leader Daschle and company in the office were clueless as to how to proceed, apparently.

And then word came from the White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation.

The Senators had to wait until the White House told them to duck and run. lol.

Remember that, later, Daschle was complaining about not being told of the shadow government. This was after he was 'evacuated to the undisclosed location' and was standing in the middle of the shadow government, as Senate Majority Leader.

==========

These are the people who want to win the election and run the War on Terrorism, folks.

The “seven minutes” came after the second plane hit and everyone knew it was an attack.

But the seven minutes argument is just so stupid anyway. The decision was made that the president must move, but the president of the US and his entourage don’t just drop what their carrying and run screaming off into random directions. While Bush sat there with the kids, planes were being prepared, information was being gathered, risk assessments were being done, police motorcades were being organized, plans were being made. And Bush remained calm while those actions were being taken.

Seven minutes after they learned about the second plane, the presidential entourage was ready to roll, and the president excused himself from the classroom and left.

Understandable. There were no opinion polls yet telling them what they were supposed to think.

Bush is the decision maker, not the doer. Kerry's only leadership experience is as a lieutennant - a doer, someone who scrambles after the generals decide what is to be done. So it's natural he doesn't grasp why Bush sat there. And it reveals volumes as to his lack of leadership skills to be the top decision maker.

Nah, he would have decisively ran to the nearest TV camera - can't miss face time during an event like that.
