Home run, John! Great essay!
Thanks dutchess and thank you. . .JohnHuang 2!
Coffee's on
'morning dutchess and all.
And thanks, John, for yet another great read.
Here's wishing you all a good Thursday!
Read: Deuteronomy 32:44-52
Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today . . . . It is your life. Deuteronomy 32:46-47
Bible In One Year: Psalms 68-69; Romans 8:1-21
Great emphasis is being placed on living longer and better. Advances in medical science are making it possible for more and more people. Yet in spite of this, none of us can avoid growing old. One day aging will overtake all of us, and our bodies will shut down.
What is preventable, however, is an attitude of bitterness and regret as we grow older. Look at the life of Moses. When he was 120 years old, he stood with the Israelites before they crossed the Jordan River and entered the Promised Land. He could not go with them because he had disobeyed the Lord when in anger he struck the rock in the wilderness (Numbers 20:12,24).
How easily Moses could have slipped into a self-pitying and resentful frame of mind! Had he not borne the burden of a stubborn and stiff-necked people for 40 years? Had he not interceded for them time after time? Yet at the end of his life he praised the Lord and urged a new generation of Israelites to obey Him (Deuteronomy 32:1-4,45-47).
As we grow older, we can dwell on the failures and hardships of our past, or we can remember Gods faithfulness, accept His discipline, and keep looking to the future in faith. Its the only way to avoid a bitter attitude. Dennis De Haan
I think the Dem convention would have had a more spectacular ending if they had dropped, instead of balloons, several thousands of Kerry's Vietnam medals.
Thanks again for another enjoyable post. I always look forward to them. We must not get overconfident, but I am now looking for a clean sweep.
Goodmorning Aeronaut. Had a GREAT lesson this week. Think I finally broke through a brick wall and really enjoyed myself! It's starting to come together FINALLY! Thanks for protecting the Finest skies!
Absolutely priceless, you two! Love the bouncing graphics, dutchess! I love Thursdays at the Finest!
I don't usually do more than LOL, but dang, lonestar! This should be the quote of the week!!!!ROFLOL!!!!!
Don't bury your Mother-in-Law in Israel
A man, his wife and mother-in-law went on vacation to the Holy Land.
While they were there the mother-in-law passed away. The undertaker told them,"You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for $150.00."
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, "Why? Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your mother-in-law home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and spend only $150.00?"
The man said, "A man died here 2000 years ago, he was buried here and three days later he rose from the dead ....... I just can't take that chance."
Dear Edwin,
Last week in Boston, we introduced a documentary video detailing John Kerry's continually changing position on Iraq.
Rudy Giuliani said he thinks "every American should see this" because "it's going to say a lot more than any speech John Kerry gives." We couldn't agree more.
Watch Rudy Giuliani speak on Kerry's record and introduce the video at www.GeorgeWBush.com/VideoandAudio.
To view the full length video, visit www.KerryOnIraq.com.
From the stage in Boston, Kerry talked about the need to fight terror, but his flip-flopping on this important issue paints a different picture.
From talking tough about the need to remove Saddam Hussein and his weapons of mass destruction in 2001 to declaring himself the anti-war candidate in 2004, Kerry's stance on Iraq has shifted with the political wind.
Seeing for yourself the political metamorphosis and verbal gymnastics of John Kerry's Iraq policy over the last three years tells the story better than any speech, ad, or press release ever could.
Once you watch the introduction at www.GeorgeWBush.com/VideoandAudio, we encourage you to view the full length video at www.KerryOnIraq.com, request a copy for yourself, and share it with your friends.
Sincerely,
Ken Mehlman

** - - pauses to do Search for channel that carried the Democratic Convention those "Certain Others" watched - - to no avail. **
Pushing on, calm was restored as you 'splained, dear JuanHernando.
So many cliches come to mind now - - "Snooze, you lose, JfK" - " the first one.
Loved the part about how kerry jumped up and down and pointed his finger at President Bush:
Addressing the fearmongering --
"On Monday, Kerry and the media angrily blasted Bush for not taking the threat of terror seriously enough, of not acting with sufficient urgency. More can be done, and must be done -- now! Call the Congress back and get the job done -- now! Ports, bridges, ships, buildings, infrastructure -- all should be secured . . . now! Hire more FBI -- now! The time to act is now, not later!"
Seems to me, JH, kerry is acting out his very favorite childhood story:
Gotta pity him, I suppose, stuck back at age 5 - -
Thanks for the latest scoop...
Hugs,
~ LadyX
Good for you! Keep at it.
