Admin needs to get out front on this.

Was it basd on old information or current information?

Dems and lib media are set to pounce on this. Was Dean right after all?

Where is the GWB PR team? Where? This 'old data' is going to grow. If it has any substantiation, it will make the Abu Ghraib stories look like small potatoes.

Libs/Dems took Iraq War away from GWB and made it an albatross for him (true or not). You can bet they will plaster this all over the media, if it has potential (true or not).

It is unconcionable for the NY Slimes to be shilling the 'old intel' spin line for the Kerry campaign.

AlQ takes years to effect a plan. They are very meticulous. That's what is mean by "old information".

Say what??? The administration IS out in front on this, they are taking the war on teror directly to the enemy while strengthening our posture here at home, we are safer as a result of the actions of this President.

What on earth are you smoking? Bush is ahead in the polls because the majority of Americans support our actions in Iraq and believe in George W. Bush's approach to the war on terror.

This 'old data' is going to grow.

"Old data" refers to the fact that the data was collected by the terrorists before the 9/11 attacks - not that we knew about it before then. That does not make it out of date - how long were they planning for 9/11? Probably since 1993, if not before.

"Was it basd on old information or current information?"

It was based on information that's several years old. The information for the 9/11/01 attacks was several years old at the time too.

There are two differences this time:

1. This information is more specific than the info the Clinton admin had

2. This administration has obviously already spranf into action.

It really doesn't matter, considering that the guy who was arrested likely shared the information with others, and that info could be completely updated now. Besides, it's been said that the info is a mix of old and new.
