It appears that Moore is incapable of telling the truth. A pathological liar, it would seem.

Blubberb*tt Mooreon has the Saudi's kicking him in the butt on one side and the newspaper editor on the other side. A prime example of what goes around comes around.

A local retired newspaper guy (who still writes the occasional column for the paper), wrote a column on Moore's film not too long ago. He, the retired journo, stated that while the film may (his word) have a few errors in it, the film was still well worth seeing.
There are none so blind, eh?

Howard Dean questions the timing of this report, Joe Wilson calls it a "bushwhack", Sandy Berger says it was an honest oversight, and Richard Clarke says he warned Moore not to do it.

The paper is seeking $1 in damages. What? Why don't they go after Moore's millions?

I copied this and sent it to people in my e-mail address book including the BC'04 Campaign, the GOP HQ in many battleground states, Hannity, O'Reilly, and Rush.
Thanks for the article.

The paper is seeking $1 in damages. If a Republican had done something like that it would be $1,000,000 in damages.

Literally millions are falling all over themselves to see this "documentary". Can there be that many deluded people? Yes. Do we repeatedly overestimate the intelligence of the American voter? Absolutely!
What do you get when you allow (indeed encourage and almost require) the (low) very tail end of the intelligence curve to vote? The malaise we are living through.
Why is it a surprise that when we "allow" the same mentality to make "documentaries", and to serve as elected (!) representatives elected by morons and neurotics, that things generally get more chaotic, divided and on the brink of a national riot?

What a surprise! He did the same thing in "Bowling for Columbine", not only editing two campaign ads into one (Willie Horton) but altering the text of the ad.

"
Newspaper Claims Moore Altered Front Page"
"...asking for an apology for using what it said was a doctored front page in his movie"
"The newspaper says that headline never appeared on that day"
"The paper said the headline appeared in a Dec. 5, 2001, edition but was not used on the front page"
"the paper says reflects 'only the opinions of the letter writer'"
Oh, this is effing rich. Note to AP: every "claim" by the newspaper is a FACT -- verifiable to anyone who simply looked at the print edition and compared it against Moore's hackjob "documentary." Not a disputable matter of opinion, not some ephemeral debate, not spin. Face it: Moore used PhotoShop and an Avid editor to perpetrate a bald-faced lie.
The difference between the AP and a real news service: a real news service would have dropped all the words bolded above.
