...........much of (the momentum from Obama's speech), from the DNC's viewpoint, was killed by the speech of Teresa Heinz Kerry. "Believe me, that was not a speech any of us wanted," says the DNC-er. "If people thought Bill and Hillary were a package deal, they have no idea what they are getting with John and Teresa" ..............

Oh, we know alright. And we're counting on at least 75% of the electorate to agree on voting day.

"I've actually been relieved when there is news of the Peterson, Jackson, or Hacking cases....."

You must be joking.

I don't think so (sad, isn't it?) -- I feel the same way (but I generally give up and put in a tape of I Love Lucy reruns!).

Yankel Rosenbaum issued the following statement through John Edwards.

Edwards said: "Yankel speaks to you through me. And I have to tell you, right now... I didn't plan to talk about this... right now, I can feel him. I can feel his presence. He's inside me, and he's talking to Al Sharpton. And he's saying... I'm fine... no, wait, there's a mob... they're rushing toward me. They've been incited to violence... by you, Al. Uh, oh... I think I've been stabbed. I'm having a little trouble now. Stabbed again. Not doing okay. Stabbed again. Really having trouble here. And again. I think I need to lay down. Oh, I'm bleeding all over the sidewalk. Regarding your speech, Al... it's good to see that you are the new face of the Democratic Party. By the way, you suck."

"There was someone in the room actually taking notes of what he said to leak to journalists on the trip."

No, no, no.....It's the only White House that leaks things. Dan Rather told me so.

Speakers have complained about poor site lines to the prompter screens

You know, I've only got a High School edjumication, but even I know that should be 'sight lines,' Spectator.

"There hasn't been any polling; it's just a sense some of us have that this isn't going anywhere," says a DNC political staffer in Boston.

How nice to have our perception validated. It has been clear this is the lamest convention ever. I'm curious about the claim of no polling...not sure I believe that. It must be horrible.

"This has probably been the most tightly run convention in recent memory,

Absurd. "Tightly run" in the sense that they have adhered to strict time limits, until Al Sharpton took the helm and they were too cowardly to pull his plug. Otherwise there is no rhyme or reason to the order or subject matter.

And Kerry can't even take charge of what kind of boat he'll ride in across the harbor? What a "commander". NOT

You can measure the disastrous effects of Teresa's speech by the fact that Edwards was tasked with begging the audience for applause.

Did you see Kerry's speech is 55 minutes long? LOL. I want to see the drop off between 10:30 and 11:00. The important number isn't how many people tune in, it's whether or not they stay until the end. They ditched Clinton Monday night....heh he heh.

This convention has been all about trying to put lipstick on a jackass, and it is failing miserably. People see a fourlegged animal standing there all still with red lips, hoping that no one will notice that it's a jackass. It's laughable, really.

C'mon you Demons. Bay and whine and kick your hind legs in a frenzy. We all know you're jackasses. Now act like it!

On Wednesday, reporters got laughs after Sen. Patrick Leahy stood befuddled at the podium after the teleprompter went dark. The Vermont senator had no hard copy of his remarks, so a printed version had to be handed to him onstage.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy - (snicker).
