The people sporting shirts emblazened with the "F-word" are my opponents. Is she sure those aren't Cheney supporters?

Not one of her better efforts, though it's not bad. This one has less wit and more anger. It's like she said "oh the heck with it," put down the rapier, picked up a nice big Scottish claymore, and started hacking. (That's the claymore sword, not the claymore mine...although there's enough good invective in this piece that a claymore mine would be appropriate too...)

A little weak. There are some funny lines in there though.
Still plenty good enough for USA Today.

but she is the right's version of Michael Moore: One (of many) big differences is that her criticisms are founded. She doesn't mock positive or understandable acts by Dems. She would not even dream of attacking a Dem president for finishing reading a book to children during the 9/11 attacks. Nor can I recall her ever using a Dems words out of context.
Her genius is even her hyperbole makes you go hmmmm. Can Denis Kucinich run a 7-11 for eight hours? Hmmmm. . .

A disjointed and poorly written article that is FAR below ... DOES Bad Andy also have bad eyes - or perhaps a 'bad brain' as well?
I LOL'd several times through that piece - and FULLY ENJOYED it!
I saw logical tie-ins between each paragraph; perhaps you are JUST deficient in your knowledge of 'current events' and other recent happenings by 'the dems' ...

My pretty-girl allies stick out like a sore thumb amongst the corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons they call "women" at the Democratic National Convention.
Way to go Ann! Can't wait for tomorrow's installment deconstructing the Clinton double-header tonight.

To: Calvin Coolidge
The whole convention is going to be over the top, just look at their speakers.... I think this piece by Ann is written with tongue firmly in cheek, but with the truth firmly embedded too. How else can one deal with the lunatic party? Spawn of Satan works for me!

I think this article would have made a great vanity piece in FR, but for a mainstream publication the tone is completely wrong. Which is odd, because one of her points is that the Demos need to put a bright face on things and keep the extremist rhetoric toned down. So why submit a foaming-at-the-mouth "Democrats are unhygenic spawns of the devil" article to USA Today in the first place? The goal is to let the other side seem as if they are the ones who are letting blind hatred get in the way of rational thought.

'Democrat women are all unwashed, dirty hippies'
That's not exactly what she said but rather your interpretation. She said it much more elegantly (and much better than Cartman would have said it too!).

BTW, my favorite pic of Ann (saw it on TV--wish I could find it) is of her sitting on porch steps, holding a rifle, with a cigarette butt dangling out of her mouth. You mean this?

I think this article would have made a great vanity piece in FR, but for a mainstream publication the tone is completely wrong.WITH Carter speaking for the FIRST time in HOW LONG? I think Ann pegged it ... the 'wishy washy' here are now getting cold feet - if EVERYONE were to take this tack - I might take your concern seriously ...
