I was channel surfing and saw Maher make his idiotic comments to Larry King (who would have 'thunk' it?!?). Of course, Larry basically let him pass.

I'm not even from the south (I'm trapped up here in New York State and am surrounded by Libs/Dems/Socialists), but I was SERIOUSLY OFFENDED by Maher's 'holier than thou' comments.

Maher was also critical of the religious belief's and of the patriotism of southerners in general as well.

His comments were, well, simply stunning. I think he'd be best advised to not set foot anywhere in the South anytime soon.

See, Maher and his Hollywood types seem to forget that we're generally regionalists second and Americans first -- you insult one of us and you insult ALL of us.
