senior citizens day...I get to help with "bingo"... Oh....that sound like fun! Our fair comes about the middle of September and I always look forward to going to the cow and sheep pavillion. I love watching the 4H kids caring for their animals.

Hi Lori and finest friends. Same time Lori???? Wow..slow around these parts!
It was really cute working the county fair today. Free admission, breakfast and lunch for the seniors. Also veterans. The group I'm associated with bought 10 beautiful patriotic wall plaques with a silver eagle on it...any veteran could sign of up for a drawing. We would ask their branch of service etc. Their eyes would light up...most were WWII. A little bittersweet too...initially we would ask for their address and more than one just gave me a blank confused look. Reminded me of my dad when he can't remember a name or something.
All in all it was a fun day. Kind of an "attitude adjustment" about what's important...
PLUS...most were wearing GWB stickers LOL!

Awwww...that's nice. Our Fair does that too for our seniors and veterans.
