Scouting jetliners for new attacks
The Washington Times ^ | Audrey Hudson

Flight crews and air marshals say Middle Eastern men are staking out airports, probing security measures and conducting test runs aboard airplanes for a terrorist attack. At least two midflight incidents have involved numerous men of Middle Eastern descent behaving in what one pilot called "stereotypical" behavior of an organized attempt to attack a plane.

Why not?
We have done everything but send them invitations to misbehave from the federal level. They are capitalizing on a federal regulation (!) that no airline may question more than 3 "middle eastern types" on any one flight!

Would you like to know which government moron dreamed up that one? I know I would!

I don't fly, but if I did, I think your wife and you have the right idea.

Sadly, I imagine it will take another major security blunder with concomitant loss of life before we get smart and institute El Al like airlines security.

PC is deadly, and as a nation, we continue to ignore the threat at our peril.

Insane.

"Lost his mind? Maybe. But I wouldn't assume he was a terrorist."

lol...you think it is more likely that the guy who hires Arabs to entertain at a casino is crazy, than that he might be a terrorist?

At any rate, it is worth checking out. People who behave oddly should be questioned. If he has an explanation, and he very well could, then no harm, no foul.

Stick your head in the sand if you like, but if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, often it turns out to be a duck.

Terrified? Hardly but if you aren't scared of a gun and what it can do then you are a child who thinks they are toys and doesn't respect what they can do in the wrong hands.

What are you laughing at? There many more eccentric people in the world that there are terrorists. I don't assume that everyone I don't understand is a terrorist.

People who behave oddly should be questioned.

Oddly? You mean different from the way you would behave, right?

The moment I became uncomfortable with any groups actions, raghead or not, my reaction would be to gather support to control the situation. Expecting the stewardesses to handle it is just foolish.

I would imagine that 40% of the men aboard over 21 on every flight are ex soldiers and LEO's. It wouldn't be difficult to ask and receive assistance from these men. All it would take is for one man to start the ball rolling.

No, I mean hiring musicians who play music that ordinary casino goers don't like. As I said, he may have had a perfectly reasonable explanation for hiring Arabs, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

If Jacobsen had said that they also had a strange fondness for beef jerky, I think we all would have ID'd the problem instantly

Yup. I saw that as the alternative if this was a legit band. Sometimes, the most mundane answer is the correct one.

You don't think it is strange that a casino hires Syrian musicians? I don't know where you are from, but there isn't much demand for Syrian music where I live.

It's a desert casino, so they might have been doing some sort of 'Arabian Nights' theme that week.

I think this band was probably legit.

I agree... and it takes two initial qualities for that to happen. First, situational awareness, and second, the willingness to confront. That elimates two thirds of the sheeple.

Which is different from assuming he is a terrorist. I'm glad that you now see it my way. ;)

I'm amazed that the vast majority of people in this nation are willing to place themselves, their family, their friends, and their fellow citizens upon the sacrificial altar of political correctness.

As am I.
I have had numerous discussions about this topic with my son. We thought that 911 would wake up the sheeple and for a time it seemed like it did. But the sheeple and the majority of government just turned over and went back to sleep.
We feel that it will take another, massive attack, one killing hundreds of thousands to finally get the country's mindset where it needs to be.
We have personally prepared for this as much as possible: In short: We are ready to ride out the worst they can deliver and survive, if survival is indeed possible.
I truly beleive this will be a war where the last on standing will be the winner.
The government will not help us in this, they wont even be able to help themselves.

Sheeple can be herded into areas of benefit.

Never go down without the best fight you can pull out of your brain.

There would not be any need to scream and holler or even get excited. Just a quiet survey of the passengers and then give the enlistees instructions of where to sit and what to do if...

I have never been scared of a gun. PERIOD. I have been apprehensive when untrained people hold or use them unsafely.

Yes, I have always jumped to the front of the line when I observed dangerous usage and corrected the problem before it became a medical problem for anyone in attendance because they are not toys.
