I remember in 1971 renting a lovely house on a corner lot in Port Malabar, Florida, (large created community) with 3 bedrooms amd 2 full baths - kitchen, separate dining room, and living room with screened over swimming pool through sliding glass doors.
It was 15' x 30,' 'cool' concrete deck, had a cabana on the end, and was filled from a well in the yard.
We thought it was 'steep' at $140 a month, stepping up from $125 per..:))
Sounds like that one had location.
In North Georgia it seems like everywhere I've lived has had explosive growth and anyone with acreage could become rich overnight. Have always consoled myself with the thought that I would have probably sold right before the huge increase in price and would really be kickin myself for that! We have come out alright with the sale of our homes, just needing a place to live has turned out to be a good investment.
