Confront who?
The left is just plain nuts I tell you.
Have we evolved as a species so that we don't need animal products anymore? These people think so, as if just because they can think it makes it real.

There is a counter-group, the National Animal Interest Alliance. It promotes animal welfare, as opposed to Animal Rights fanaticism.
It's website can be found at:
http://www.naiaonline.org/
Looking for info on violent AR activists in the Salt Lake City area after the recent fire there,I found the article below on a site belonging to a professed nonviolent AR group.
Toward the end of the article is some info on Utah that connects "all 8" of the arrested AR activists to "Straight Edge",a group that is against the use of drugs or promiscuous sex.
They do seem to think tattoos are fine though and use "sXe","Straight Edge" and "X"s in many of their designs. They have a website.
.
(((((The tattoos might be something to keep an eye out for.)))))
Have you heard of "Straight Edge" before?
.
Second time to link,hope it worked. :}
This Vlasak guy sounds like an evil twin of Ragnar Danneskjold from "Atlas Shrugged". I wish these people would heed this advice: "Save the World, Kill Yourself!"
I'm happy to say I was in the original straight edge movement, not the new modern interpretation with now includes veganism. Not all straight edge teens who are vegan are animal rights wackos, but all animal rights wackos are vegas. http://www.straight-edge.com/
Too bad such good ideas can be perverted into an excuse to cause harm.I guess liberals can find an excuse to twist anything. :(
.
The "Straight Edge" site that I found had lots of pictures of tattoos. Also on the first page,it asked if you use meat, etc.
I "am" keeping a lookout for their tattoos as an early warning sign.

Converts to a cause can be very dangerous.
IIRC,the Romans would sometimes put a criminal in a sack along with an "asp, ape and a cock" then close the bag and pitch it in the water.
Christ was talking about ritual purity; distinctions of clean/unclean; holy/unholy re: people.
Acts 10 was the vision I was referencing.
They now consider people fair game and it doesn't matter if the people harmed are targeted or merely "collateral" damage.
Reading through the posts on this site demonstrates that there's a misunderstanding among all of you regarding animal rights advocates.
I advocate greater compassion for and treatment of animals and have been a vegetarian for 7 years. I consider myself politically moderate (I'm surely not a Marxist) and completely non-violent. All of the people I know in the animal rights movement share my attitude toward violence. It seems that those few who advocate or at least predict violence are the ones who get themselves on the news. Few of us are like that, but every movement has its "wackos." To use the term "animal rights wackos" is like saying "pro-life wackos." It shows a misunderstanding of the movement.
While most vegans care about the lives of animals, only a small portion are extremists.
I'd say there are pro-life wackos. And what? For some reason the VEGAN lifestyle are like the islamic adherents. They have issues with admitting their problems.
ALF, ELF, PETA, PCRM, SHAC, ADL. Where is RICO when you need it?
Well, I'm not sure what you're saying. Apparently you have something against Muslims as well. I can't answer for them. But I am a vegan (yes, vegans are vegetarians) and I can tell you personally that I'm nothing like the fundamentalist muslims whom I believe you're referring to.
Recognizing that the way in which animals are raised and consumed is destroying the environment, cruel to the animals, and bad for human health is not really a problem. There is plenty of indisputable scientific evidence to back this up.
Anyone who uses violence to solve these problems has a problem.
And of course there are pro-life "wackos." My point is that they make up a small fraction of the overall movement, as do the animal rights wackos.
