We've got devil-spawn al-Qaida members in the United States and this is how our government occupies its time? What a waste of taxpayer money. What she did was hardly worth prison time; she should've gotten a slap on the wrist and that's it. Those Enron jerks, who pilfered millions (if not billions), probably won't get as much prison time as Martha. This whole thing was a farce, a witchhunt.
She might even be able to qualify for a more open type unit that allows the inmates to prepare and cook their own meals, with very little supervision. Bet you didn't know that happened in prisons did yuh??

I'm a big fan of the 60's women groups. I especially liked Martha and the Mandelas...
I find it's easier to read his speeches than to listen to him. Even then, it's for when I'm having trouble sleeping.

Hopefully he'll be forced into the role of being Teresa's puppy boy rather than returning to representative government.

I'm sure it'll be club fed. She's not exactly a behavioral nuisance, and does not have a cluster of problems prisons have trouble dealing with.
I am anxiously awaiting what will come from her though. After the Mandela comparison, Nelson Mandela was put into prison for insider trading on his cell phone on a trip to Mexico, right?
Or maybe she is going to write letters from her cell like Martin Luther King. I can see it now, Martha writing about her civil rights efforts, the denials, and the trials of being a model, and a corporate dictator.

Nelson Mandela is just not all that much of a saint. He was operating with a cunning and ruthless agenda, never intending to make any compromise with the Afrikaans who were the majority among the white minority that at one time was in charge of the country. He took a relatively prosperous and mostly law-abiding nation down into chaos and nearly to civil war. The majority of the violence in South Africa was not between whites and blacks, but between two competing bands of blacks, each determined to carry out genocide on each other. Only the complete capitulation of all the rest of the tribal groups, and promises of full sovereignty for Nelson Mandela's faction, averted the reality of what is happening right now in Rwanda and the Sudan.
South Africa does not have a popularly elected representative government, any more than Nazi Germany in 1933. Only the skin color is different.
