I seriously doubt it. I think it was more of a formality than a precaution. Joe Wilson is a fraud, his baseless claims of wrongdoing by this administration have been a joke from day one and if anyone should consult an attorney.... it's Joe Wilson. He told enough lies under oath to make Bill Clinton look like a fibber. Joe Wilson's days in the Sun are DONE...... My guess is that he thought since his old Boss "WJC" could get away with bald face lies, he could too........ Joe Wilson is now facing the music, I hope they go after him for his criminal actions

Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame should both be indicted. No doubt they lied to investigators.

These rattlers spit out their venom in unison as Joe Wilson declared on national T.V. that Carl Rove should be “frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs,” for his underhanded revelations about the identity of his CIA wife, Valerie Plame. Joe Wilson lied about how he came to be sent to Niger. He denied that his wife had any role in it at all. But the Commission has uncovered a memo Plame wrote on February 12, 2002 which proves she actively promoted him for the mission. The Commission also found that he had based his accusations against the Bush Administration on documents he had never seen.

The Commission's inquiry into British intelligence conducted by Lord Butler said that while most of its prewar information was wrong, the assertions about Niger and uranium were “well founded.” This is a complete exoneration of the White House on the “16 words.” What George Bush said in the State of the Union address was absolutely true. Joe Wilson, who lied to the nation, has some explaining to do.
