Possible pathogen agent(fumes)?

I hope everyone on that aircraft is checked out by the Docs' and SECURITY before anyone is allowed to leave.

"Maybe they ate the spoiled food at the airport they departed from, before they boarded the plane."

But then why aren't other people sick on other flights originating in Houston?

Maybe if it were an MD80, but not a 37.

The entire thread for the event last week is located here. Terror in the Skies Again(Absolutely Positive MUST-READ)

Basically, a woman reported a very suspicious behaviorof 14 Middle Eastern men on a flight last week. They entered the plane seperately, sat throughout the plane, then took turns going into the restroom on after the other. There were carry-on bags taken into the lavoratory (by men?) and communication between them.

You need to read the entire article at the top of the thread. It would be easy to brush concern without reading it all. Scary stuff.

Many freepers feel it was a dry run to assymble something in the lavatory that was brought on board by the different men. Hope this is not the cause of the trouble today.

Parker had just negotiated a tough contract with the Flight Attendants, and, even with Kelleher involved,

My understanding may not be correct, but it was my understanding that Kelleher jumped in and took over the negotiations from Parker, and that he did the deal, rather than helped. I'm gone for the night; I'll check this thread in the morning.

That is reassuring. My worry hear is that until for sure we know it's not to be the case, someone might have released a chemical agent. I say again, I hope this is proved not to be the case. Most likely a problem with the environmental control system which controls cabin pressurisation.

It's a first hand account of a recent flight on Northwest where 14 males of Middle Eastern appearance carried on with behavior that ended up having many passengers and the crew of the plane very worried. the plane was met at the gate by Fed's and she ended up giving a lengthy statement to them.

Was it a trial run or was it nervous nellie passengers. Most FReepers seem to favor the former though a few are saying they think it's the latter.

You gave up too soon.

I talks about the suspicious actions of 14 Middle Eastern men on a flight, like going to the bathroom one after another, taking items to the lavatories. It also includes reference to other incidents, where the government issued statements that the terrorists may try to assemble bombs on board, after having smuggled the pieces on board.
It also mentions the policy that airlines are still forbidden to "discriminate" against Muslims and Arabs.

The article goes into detail about the actions of the ME men. The FBI interviewed them also.

The description is chilling, to say the least.

Put this together with actor James Wood's experience prior to 9-11: he saw several of the 9-11 hijackers doing a practice run, reported it, but nobody paid attention.

Fire officials say ten people have been
overcome by fumes aboard a plane that sat on the runway Thursday night at BWI.

Officials told a local television station that four people were transported from the scene in critical condition, and six others were in serious condition.

Others aboard the plane reportedly complained of upset stomach and lightheadedness.

Fire crews from Anne Arundel, Howard and Baltimore counties were on the scene Thursday night as well.

The plane reportedly was a Southwest Airlines flight from Houston that arrived around 10:45 pm with 125 people aboard.

Starting to sound more and more like an ECS(pressurisation) problem.

Good point. You're so smart. Well, unless there are several other planes experiencing the same problem that they're just not telling us about. I can't find this on the news anywhere. Going to take a look at local Los Angeles news at 10pm.

maybe a "sock" in one of the moisture seperators went bad or a Heat exchanger went bad or ECS pressurisation turbine
failure. I've seen such failures causing smoke in the cockpits of the aircraft types that I have worked.
