Ireland and France are obviously genetically exempt from the effects of excessive alcohol consumption. I distinctly remember one cafe in France where the dad was pouring wine into a water glass for his very young daughter, diluting it somewhat. Apparently, that's quite common.

The daughter wasn't complaining.

The Irish, on the other hand, NEVER dilute their drink. No matter what the age! *LOL*

It's true though. Wine is a part of day to day living in France, from an early age.
