FOX News Channel Statement on 'Outfoxed'
Fox News ^ | 7-12-04

Posted on 07/12/2004 8:23:17 PM PDT by bellevuesbest

Monday, July 12, 2004 Any news organization that thinks this story is legitimate is opening itself to having its copyrighted material taken out of context for partisan reasons. The illegal copyright infringement actions of Moveon.org in cooperation with the New York Times, including “cutting a deal” not to give FOX News Channel adequate time to react, is unprecedented. The New York Times corrupts the journalistic process by taking orders from a George Soros-funded web site – Soros is a left-wing billionaire currency speculator who funds many liberal efforts. This is the real story. If any news organizations decide to make this an anti-FOX News story, then all of their material becomes fodder immediately for possible out of context and biased documentaries. The former low-level FOX employees are hardly worth addressing. Some of the “sources” for this documentary never worked for FOX News Channel. Some left because of incompetence, and none expressed concern about editorial policy while employees. They represent fewer than 10 employees out of 2,000 over 8 years. Any news organization that believes this story is big and FOX News Channel is a problem will be challenged by FOX News Channel in the following manner: If they will put out 100 percent of their editorial directions and internal memos, FOX News Channel will publish 100 percent of our editorial directions and internal memos, and let the public decide who is fair. This includes any legitimate cable news network, broadcast network, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post.

Alright. Fine. So here's what I am hoping will happen. I hope the libs run with this flick and Murdoch in turn takes them to the cleaners publically in a big way. Turn lemons into lemonaide so to speak. I also hope that Fox News rounds up all of their current ex-CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, et al, employees and allows those people a forum to tell the real story about working for those liberally biased networks. As I understand it they have some dooseys to share.

The left is embarking on a path that leads to the ash heap of history. Propaganda that is designed to distort the facts in a political debate is what gave rise to Adolph Hitler and every other third world despot who enslaved their people.

All Americans should rise up against these people

Well? Don't just threaten them. Do it!

Excerpted from what?

That's the whole story.

Yeah, I noticed that too. When I clicked 'post', I got a screen that indicated FNC must be excerpted and gave me a button to automatically excerpt so I clicked that and up came the entire article. Perhaps, the short length of the article is the reason and a mod would want to fix that.

Amazing how Fox drives the lefties berserk. The very idea that some dissenting approach should get out there is life-threatening to them. I note that no violence is permitted in posts, so therefore I will refrain from giving my opinion on options for dealing with the mainstream press.

Not only that, but Fox viewers I would hazard a guess, are more fiercely loyal to Fox than say a CBS viewer. A CBS viewer watches the CBS news usually because A. They only have an antenna or B. It is what comes on after the local news they prefer. People watch Fox because they really want to. That loyalty will end up hurting moveon. They are preaching to the choir with this.

The thing is, the journalistic trade is such a closed society, they honestly believe they are unbiased.

It's on baby! This little grommet Jim Gilliam doesn't understand he is playing with the grown ups. He thinks this is a game of D&D or something. Head on over to his site and leave a comment.

FOX is the #1 News Network. They can report anything they want.
They can go totally right if they want, and become another Rush Limbaugh to the world. CNN is a Communist News Network, and the nation could use a more right leaning network simply for balance. FOX should lean more to the right to make the media fair.
The Democrats should be careful who they attack. FOX could hit them hard by simply reporting the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about Democrat tactics 24/7. Right up until November.

The nation loves FOX, and made it #1. The Democrats are attacking the American peoples choice this time.

Yep. A fish is unaware that it is surrounded by water, and the press is unaware of how far left it is because they only work with like-minded people. They are also sanctimonious and regard themselves as some kind of priestly caste.

they honestly believe they are unbiased.

That might not be the case. And that might be why they are so intent upon trashing FOX. They know they have an agenda, not entirely shared by FOX. And so FOX is a threat to that biased and liberal agenda. And they are aware of that. That's why they . . go . . after FOX.

Yeah, but we have internal moles too.

THIS IS A GREAT RETORT!

"If they will put out 100 percent of their editorial directions and internal memos, FOX News Channel will publish 100 percent of our editorial directions and internal memos, and let the public decide who is fair. Let's have openness! I dont think the lamestream press has any idea how deep they are stepping into it.

Just out of curiosity, is David Schuster one of the "snitches." Was he disgruntled when he left Fox?
