If you are truly interested in bettering the plight of those struck down by Alzheimers and other aliments then please go to folding.stanford.edu and download the distributed computing client that attempts to crack the code by which certain cancers and aliments like Alzheimers are developed. It's a great program and will not effect the way your computer performs.
Nobody can deny that some lives would be improved. That doesn't necessarily make one pro stem cell research.
