FROM THE CELEB ATHEIST LIST
Ron Reagan Jr., Talk Host ent Internet Movie Database
Ron had a short lived talk show a few years ago. On one show, he interviewed Charles Manson at Manson's current cell of residence. Manson began "preaching" his "message". During it, he turned to Reagan and asked, "Do you believe in god?" "No, I do not," Ron responded.

a republican homosexual, the rarest of rare breeds.
"What's wrong with being an athiest?"
Nothing if they are right, but they are taking one hellofagamble.
Yea, but in the political context? I am not an atheist, but I think this whole thread might be a bit offensive to many decent folks who are.
Uh, if you don't believe in God, then you don't believe in the soul, either, most likely.
Of course, many atheists/agnostics, like myself, have better taste and sense than to call someone an idiot for their private religious beliefs.
According to sources of propaganda, homosexuals are a rare breed regardless of their political persuasion. What boggles the mind, is how such a tiny minority, has so many powerful people dancing to their tune.
Maybe they are privy to where the powerful have been burying their bones.
It's true. Atheist don't have to be democrats, but I'm not sure about the other way around.
The goodness of God and Jesus don't seem to mesh with the dems message lately.
"I am not an atheist, but I think this whole thread might be a bit offensive to many decent folks who are."
Well, I am an atheist and I find the thread, not offensive, but rather silly and immature.
Rightly so.
Some of the smartest and most talented people in the world, and you call them idiots.
American values? I think not.
Log Cabin Republicans. A lot of people believe that the religious right taking over the Republican party in order to push a religious agenda that trumps individual freedom is not correct. They believe that the Republican party stands for "limited government, a strong national defense, low taxes, personal responsibility, individual freedom, and equality" which was pretty much true until various special interests took over.
Nothing if you don't care about your soul!
Whether you care about it or not, you're taking it with you when you go...WHERE will be decicided by St. Peter!
I think we use the term "Junior" as a purjorative because he is sooooo beneath his father.
Being an atheist has nothing do with with politics or moral standing.
Perhaps you should reevaluate the difference between KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM.
The dumbest man on the face of the Earth is still WISER if he walks with GOD as his guide than Hawking, Buffett, Carmack, Vonnegut, or any other high-brow!
"Silly and immature."
Seems to me that silly and immature would be ignoring the obvious, in favor of pretending.
Lay aside the belief's of many of us about sin, salvation and a hereafter and just look at the world around us. We see foilage, perfect in it's own way and reproducing it's own kind. We see us humans and other warm blooded mamals, reproducing our own kind as are the fish, birds and insects.
We don't see a world or it's occupants brought to life by haphazzard accidents of nature. We see things that were designed by an intellegent force.
At some point FR has to decide whether it's a board for conservatives or a board for Fundigelicals. It seems to be becoming the latter.
The Republican Party is in danger of flushing itself down the toilet and never winning an election again if it changes from a Party with the fundigelicals as a part of the party, to the fundigelical party.
What gamble, exactly, are atheists taking?
Justify your statement.
what does being an atheist have to do with anything
