Raunchfest Fundraiser Demonstrates Exactly Who These People Really Are July 9, 2004 Listen to Rush… (...discuss the Democrat fundraiser full of vulgarity, obscenities and raw-form liberals) BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Have you noticed that it's no longer "the Kerry campaign;" it's "the Kerry-Edwards campaign"? Everything is (story) Kerry-Edwards. Kerry here, Kerry there. No Kerry there. It's always Kerry-Edwards -- another illustration of just how dull and boring the campaign is at the top. It's gray. It is dull. It is lifeless. It's almost invisible, so they have to get a guy that Whoopi Goldberg (story) kept calling "kid" last night. She was admonished for that and that alone by Kerry at this. What... What an absolute travesty this thing was last night at Radio City Music Hall, this big wallapalosing fund-raiser. You've got Whoopi Goldberg out there calling Bush a little excrement, four-letter word for excrement, under her breath. I mean, if this has happened, if you'd had a bunch of country stars and others from the entertainment field like Bruce Willis and Schwarzenegger and others that support Bush had gone out there and said this about Kerry or Edwards, it would be the lead story. They wouldn't care what was in this stupid Senate report today. It would be the lead story. They would be demanding Bush disavow what was said. When you read stories of what happened here last night, you can't even get a quote from what was said by Whoopi Goldberg. I've been getting e-mails all morning from people who were telling me, "Tell me what she said!" because nobody's got the guts to report it because it's not printable what she said. But she kept referring, "We need to keep Bush," and she kept (sigh). I can understand why this is hard to print, because every time she referred to "Bush" and used that word, she kept pointing to her nether regions. If there are children in the audience, I know it's summertime and you're curious about that. Ask your mom. Don't call here. Your mom can handle that for you. But, it was just over the top. She was carrying a bottle of wine; she was just slurring her words. It was nothing but pure, unadulterated hate, and I was talking to some of the crack EIB staff. We sort of missed an opportunity yesterday, and I'm going to apologize for this but there's still plenty of time to make up for this oversight. We should have sent somebody down there with a tape recorder to talk to these arriving wackos that are attending this fund-raiser because all along Sixth Avenue here in front of the EIB building -- which is also Radio City Music Hall, as it's also known in a few places, more popularly known in New York of course as the EIB building. We had all these little Democrat National Committee robots out there, these little young kids I guess in their high teens and early twenties, running around with clipboards. I told you that this happened to me. We were up at Southport, Connecticut, during the big golf trip we were all sitting there on Thursday night having a barbecue and the doorbell rings, ding-dong, and one of the women gets up and answers the door gone around five minutes and comes back and says, "There's some little girl named April up there and she wanted to come many and talk to us about defeating Bush and how we should hate Bush," and I said, "Why didn't you bring her in? Can you imagine what would have happened when she saw me sitting here?" So we scoured the neighborhood. We went out looking for this little April babe and couldn't find her. We found her car -- I know it was her car; it was a dented up Volvo down the road -- but we couldn't find her. We spent probably a half hour trying to find this babe. Well, they're all over the place out there. I was talking to my old buddy Jim Kerr who works -- what, where does he work? Q104? Yeah, but they don't call it WAXQ. Yeah, Q104. Jim Kerr, he's often substituted on this program in the early days 15 years ago. Jim Kerr came over to say hello today, and he was telling me about these little robots that are out all overt streets of New York, and they have their little clipboards, and all they want to talk to you about is hating Bush and defeating Bush, and he says, "It's really easy to screw 'em up. Just ask them, 'Why aren't you wanting to talk to me about having John Kerry win?'" Ba-da ba-da ba-da. They're lost, once they've been programmed by the DNC. So they're all over the place out there. They're not there just in conjunction with this embarrassing fund-raiser last night. So we're going to send -- at some point we'll get this done -- we'll send you down there. We'll send you down that with a tape recorder, just interview these people, and we'll show you. This is probably happening in many of the cities and towns where you live as well, folks. But the thing that's striking about it is, they aren't interested in electing Kerry. They're not programmed to talk about that. They can't answer any questions about that. All they can do is sit there and give you their programmed rote on why you should hate Bush; why we should hate Bush and why Bush should be defeated. Last night this giant fund-raiser here, $7-1/2 million, supposedly a record fund-raiser at Radio City Music Hall and it was garbage. It was sewage. It was unadulterated Bush hatred, and one of the things that became clear -- and Victor Davis Hanson, by the way, has a great piece at National Review Online, not writing about this, but writing about other Democrat fund-raisers where other Hollywood entertainers have shown up. He mentions Billy Crystal specifically and he calls them "the idiotocracy," and what the idiotocracy is up a upset about, is they're more concerned that they think Bush is not articulate enough and therefore not smart enough. They are far less concerned about our success in Iraq and the danger we face than we are that they are being led by what they think is a dumb, inferior, stupid man -- and they don't hold back. They are unbritled here in demonstrating who they are. You know, you sit there and you hear about this and you get mad but the fact is, folks, it's actually time to sort of celebrate because they're so discombobulated. They're being who they are. They're not hiding who they are -- except there's no video of this little mess last night, and the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign is daring Kerry to release a tape of what happened last night, of what was said because Kerry praised "the great American values on display" by these entertainers last night. Well, if this is a great American values that you say you support and you represent, let's see what they were at the stage of Radio City Music Hall last night. That's not going to be released. As I say, I kept getting e-mails yesterday from people who were telling me about it, and I read Deborah Orin's account of the New York Post and I read the Yahoo account. The Yahoo account, the French News Agency. What a joke that story is, but none of them had any quotes! So John Fund sent me an e-mail. I said, "John, what did it say? What did she say?" He said, "Look, a lot of the people that I spoke with had trouble even articulating what she said exactly. She was slurring her words," this is Whoopi Goldberg. "She was on stage waving around a bottle of wine, swigging from it. She referred to Bush as a little four-letter word excrement under her breath, said that we 'should keep Bush where he belongs,' pointing to her nether regions, not in the White House. She hurled out countless other obscenities but it wasn't always clear if they were directed at Bush," and John makes the point that Howard Dean presided over one of these things and he was a stand-up guy when it happened to him and he apologized to his audience. There was some comedian that went on, a series of comedians went on a rant. I keep wanting to think it was Margaret Cho but I'm not sure. (program observer interruption) Who was it? It was some, you know, ribald comedian, but Kerry-Edwards will never release the video of this event, and it's something that should be. Now, here's the way Deborah Orin reports this in the New York Post today. "Whoopi Goldberg delivered an X-rated rant full of sexual innuendoes against President Bush last night... Waving a bottle of wine, she fired off a stream of vulgar sexual wordplays on Bush's name in a riff about female genitalia, and boasted that she'd refused to let Team Kerry clear her material." They asked for her material first, she said screw that! "I Xeroxed my behind and I folded it up in an envelope and I sent it back with a big kiss mark on because we're Democrats - we're not afraid to laugh," and nobody's going to censor me. Nobody did censor her. She said what she said, and Kerry is up there praising all this as being representative of America. Wait till you hear what Kerry hasn't done while doing this though. BREAK TRANSCRIPT RUSH: All right, so John Kerry shows up big time at this fund-raiser last night. It is full of vulgarities, full of insults, full of obscenities. It is liberals in raw form, and Kerry is out there later talking about what "great American values" were on parade at this thing. In fact, this is what he said about it. KERRY: Every performer tonight in their own way -- either verbally or through their music, through their lyrics -- have conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country. You've come here tonight to invest in that, and we're going to leave here tonight determined to 'let America be America again.' (from the communist poem) RUSH: Yip, yip, yip. KERRY: They're here to join in making this a better country, and we are so grateful to each and every one of them for what they've done tonight. Thank you. God bless. RUSH: Folks, I mean, you heard what happened at this thing. You've got Whoopi Goldberg caring around a bottle of wine making sexual innuendo jokes about her own genitalia regarding Bush, muttering obscenities that can't be repeated in newspapers or even on the Internet. All the other performers getting their digs in, too, although some didn't go obscene; they just went full throttle hatred, rage, anger -- and, you know, Kerry had a story yesterday. Kerry is trying to make himself look like a conservative, trying to pass himself off with conservative values! It's amazing how these liberals will not proudly say, "Yeah, I'm a liberal," when you call 'em that. They have to run from the term, run from the label, run from the idea, and they're trying to pass themselves off as "middle class," you know, middle class-valued Americans with this rotgut garbage that passed for entertainment last night, and here's Kerry praising it, yet they will not show a videotape. They won't release a tape of what happened. Now, Whoopi kept calling John Edwards a "kid" last night, said, "He looks like he's 18." They didn't like that because that doesn't improve his stature. You know, that sort of diminishes his stature to be referred to as a kid, and at one point during the festivities last night, Kerry had to correct her and say (sing-song voice impression), "Heee's nooot a kiiid, Whoopi. He's my vice presidential nomineeee. He's the man giving his ticket its identity, it's energy, it's charismaaa," and Edwards decided after being called a kid by Whoopi Goldberg to respond about kids in his own way. EDWARDS: We got to say no to kids going to bed hungry, no to kids who don't have the clothes to keep them warm, and no forever to any American working full time and living in poverty. Not in our America! Not in our America! RUSH: (Laughing.) It is mesmerizing. I'll tell you, I was glued to this bite. I obsessed on this bite. I was so impressed with this I listened to it like 15 times in a row. Here's Jessica Lange. She was one of the -- by the way, here's the thing about this. They supposedly took in $7-1/2 million last night and two million of it goes to Kerry and five-and-a-half goes to the DNC. That's what I heard -- and, by the way, you might be interested in knowing that the production was underwritten by Harvey Weinstein and Miramax. So it's theoretical that profits from Fahrenheit 411 (stories) or whatever it is, were recycled into this fund-raiser last night. I'm just saying it's possible, folks. So my idea is this. If we've got -- What did little Johnny say? If we've got kids going to bet hungry, if we've got kids that don't have the clothes to keep them warm, and we need to say ''no'' for... Don't you think it would make more sense to say that in late fall around the campaign? Clothes keep people warm in summertime doesn't exactly conjure up a lot of notions of suffering. I don't know about you. You drive around, there aren't a whole lot of people wearing a lot of clothes anyway. Nevertheless, they took in $7-1/2 million. Why not just send that to the place that kids get clothes and send that to the place that kids get food? "Well, where is that, Rush?" Oh, come on, folks. We only got about 40,000 federal programs that already deal with that program. Why not just give the $7-1/2 million? If you really care, if you really care, if you've got a candidate with a billion (to 3.2 billion - estimate) dollars and a candidate with supposedly $70 million, Kerry and Edwards. What is this business of taking everybody else's money to feed and clothe these people? Why not just do it themselves if they really care? Because they never use their own money, folks. It's always yours. Jessica Lange last night -- they're not playing, the media not playing any of the dirty or hateful jokes, but here is an example, some of the clips the media is playing which make it seem like a normal, wholesome-America event. It's 12 seconds. Jessica Lange, the actress -- who, by the way, by the way, who once played a farm wife in a movie. Remember this? She played a farm wife. Jane Fonda was in the movie and somebody else and these three actresses got called up to the SenateAgriculture Committee to testify about problems on the American farm because they had played farm wives in the Depression. Here's what she said. LANGE: We are in desperate need of new leadership, and I believe that John Kerry and John Edwards have a pos-i-tive and, uh, powerful message. RUSH: Though nobody can tell us what it is! Nobody can spell it out or articulate it, because there isn't one. There isn't a reason to vote for these guys. They don't even offer that. And worst of all, it was shown live on C-SPAN, too. It caused an ugly ruckus and for obvious reasons C-SPAN never rebroadcast that fundraiser. Is it small wonder why we have almost no video and audio from last night's debacle of a fundraiser?

Its who liberals really are when they can take the fake mask they have to wear to remain viable off. The rage, the hate, the self-loathing, it all comes out. There's nothing about these people that makes you want to hang around them. They can't even stand up and tell the country who they are and what they believe in. Right now the Left is setting itself up for a big fall with their over top antics. Its just like Wellstone in 2002. When they really are themselves, they turn off every body else. And as long as they don't repudiate the kooks, wackos, crazies, and the conspiracy nuts in their party, no one will take them seriously. When they have to go to the point where bathroom language is the only thing that gets them noticed, its not a testament to the future of a great party.
