"The Six Wives of Henry VIII" still endures a heavy play rotation in my house.

I'm 43. I can still remember the 1st time I heard Anthem and then Xanadu. When I'm by myself and can relax, Xanadu still brings tears to my eyes. Same thing when I listen to Soliloquy from 2112.

My wife bought me the Live in Rio DVD recently and DAMN!!!! Them ol boys can still rock better than 95% of the kiddie bands out now.

Yes members are all good on their solo tours. I have never seen Wakeman solo, but I have seen Howe and Anderson on their solo tours. Actually, saw Jon Anderson (Solo- Work in Progress tour) early this year at a small theater here in Atlanta. It was cool ... Jon was pretty laid back and told some fun stories.

Not to play the one-up game, but your thoughts on Moving Pictures is the way I feel about 2112. I thought their guitar-bass-drums stuff was so much better than their synth and Taurus pedals stuff. I also liked it better when Geddy belted out songs in his ultra-high falsetto, but he probably can't hit the upper register like he used to...oh well, the years take their toll on us all.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

My husband, two daughters, and two sons-in-law were there too. :-)

Hubby has been a Rush fanatic for a gazillion years and he's indoctrinated the next generation. LOL !! Tickets were his Father's Day gift.

I bet he doesn't know this story about Geddy Lee either. I'll have to ask.

I call the early Rush years the *screamin'* years. Geddy's voice on Anthem, Finding my Way and Working Man---well...dammit it just rocks!

Just reminded me of a part from "The Analog Kid".

"Too many hands on my time...too many feelings.
Too many things on my mind.

And when I leave I don't know what I'm hoping to find
And when I leave I don't know what I'm leaving behind."

"Afterimage" does that to me.

"I try to believe, but you know it's no good. I guess it's something that just can't be understood."

LOL...just be glad I didn't put up the words to "Cinderella Man".

That's the one and only Rush song I can't stand.

39. I have seen them live 8 times.

My first exposure to Rush was "By-Tor and the Snow Dog", on 8-track, on a school bus. The driver let us give her 8-tracks to play, except on Fridays, when she played 'her' Country and Western LOL.
