George Dale Puts Foot In Mouth on Air
Magnolia Report has an MP3 of a radio call in which George Dale, commissioner of Insurance and a leading Mississippi Democrat, relates that MS Dem leadership was looking for a "white" chairman; when prodded, he fails to back off the statement, saying that MS Dem's are courting "white conservative" voters.

The comparison to the Trent Lott/Strom Thurmond affair is obvious and a very good example of the differing standards applied to Democrats and Republicans regarding racial matters.
FYI, George Dale also just sued the Vatican. Real classy. [/sarcasm]

This is really telling when the party leadership believes their own BS. This dingaling believes that us white conservatives are looking for whites in leadership posts when what we are really looking for is CONSERVATIVES in leadership posts.

If the GOP is smart, they will find a way to nationalize this comment, and fast. And turn a deaf ear to any apologies or backtracking or "what I really meaned to say was...". This is a perfect opportunity to tar the Democrats with the much-deserved label of closet racists. Bill Frist and Denny Hastert and Tom Delay should find a microphone and express their outrage over this comment and denounce it in no uncertain terms and call for this individual to immediately step down and demand that the Terry McAwful take action, etc. etc. etc.

Agreed. And, IMHO, this is much worse than what Trent Lott said.
Trent's comments were suceptible to various interpretations some of them possibly racist, others not.
Dale's comments, on the other hand, amount to a confession of discriminatory intent. They are direct and unequivocal. Pretty amazing, isn't it?

Nothing new here. Demoncrats alway "color code" jobs. I'm sure they have others jobs picked out for Black females, others are for Black males, White females and transgendered lesbian White men, etc.
This is how they think. A person is not picked for his/her qualifications, but for gender and race.
