... But in May his wife Teresa revealed that she had decided to go through with her own abortion after learning her unborn child was deformed, fearing she was about to give birth to a "monster."

Silly me, I thought a "monster" was a human being so devoid of morality that he would murder his fellow man without compunction or guilt. Now I know better. A monster is an innocent child who happens to have something wrong with it.

So even though Kerry personally opposes abortion, he consistently supports legislation that encourages abortion. What kind of leader legislates against his own heart-felt beliefs? Kerry thinks abortion is wrong, but acts in ways that encourage others to do what he thinks is wrong.

Methinks Mr. Kerry believes whatever is convenient.

...she, too, believed that abortion ended "the process of life."

H.J. Heinz Company Statement Regarding Theresa Heinz

Excerpt: "Neither Mrs. Heinz Kerry nor Senator Kerry nor any of the Heinz trusts or endowments--either individually or collectively--holds a significant percentage of the shares of the H.J. Heinz Comany. In 1995 the Heinz Foundation and family trusts sold a large percentage of Heinz shares in a secondary share offering to diversify their holdings. AS a result, their current holdings are under 4 percent."

Theresa's holdings are not worth the boycotting of a good company.

With Teresa and Kerry as the parents it's a foregone conclusion that the child would be a "monster"...genetics after all.

This was John Heinz's child she is referring to.

Every bottle of ketchup and 57 sauce you buy goes into this evil woman's coffers... and subsequently into her gold digging husbands campaign.

Give it a rest. The Heinz company has nothing to do with Nutty Heinz.

I can't find anywhere where she ever said " Monster". Consider the newsource. Here are quotes of her interview from MSNBC, no where does it say 'Monster'.

Read on:

SHOW: GOOD MORNING AMERICA (07:00 AM ET) - ABC

May 7, 2004 Friday

LENGTH: 787 words

HEADLINE: TERESA HEINZ KERRY "20 / 20" PREVIEW

BODY:

CHARLES GIBSON, ABC NEWS

But want to turn to politics now. And, and I think there's no more potentially interesting person on the political scene right now than John Kerry's wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry. And, well, you're going to see her like you've never seen her before, talking to Barbara Walters. The outspoken wife, I think you can say, of John Kerry. Barbara Walters is joining us this morning. Good to have you here.

BARBARA WALTERS, ABC NEWS

(Off Camera) Thank you.

CHARLES GIBSON

(Off Camera) She is in the news right now because she has talked a little bit about the fact, she's a Roman Catholic.

BARBARA WALTERS

(Off Camera) Mm hmm.

CHARLES GIBSON

(Off Camera) She considered abortion.

BARBARA WALTERS

(Off Camera) Yes. This is ...

CHARLES GIBSON

(Off Camera) Did you talk about it?

BARBARA WALTERS

(Off Camera) Yes, we did. This, this is part of our interview. This is a woman who is outspoken, but she knows what she's talking about. She doesn't say things she doesn't feel strongly about. But what happened was that she had had three children and was looking forward to having a fourth when she was married to John Heinz, her first husband who died. And she was taking cortisone, she says. And when she went to the doctor and said I'm pregnant, he said you can't have this child. This child will be, in her words, a monster. And so she had to face the choice of having an abortion. And just before she had to make the choice, she said God was good to her and she had a miscarriage. And she said therefore she thinks women should have the right to make that choice. As terrible as it was, women should have the right to make a choice.

She miscarried the night before she was to have the abortion. Sure would like to see those medical records. Sounds convenient enough to be designed as a CYA. (My skepticism of these people is even starting to flummox ME).

When all Abortion Rights arguments are exhausted they always revert back to the age old question,"what about rape?"
When a "true" rape victim is taken to the hospital they are given a high dose of contraception that, if done within 72 hours, prevents fertilization! Life had not even begun!
I'm so tired of these liberal BS arguments of would've, could've, should've.

"I oppose abortion, personally. I don't like abortion," Kerry told Dubuque, Iowa's Telegraph Herald. "I believe life does begin at conception." But in May his wife Teresa revealed that she had decided to go through with her own abortion after learning her unborn child was deformed, fearing she was about to give birth to a "monster."

Afraid to give birth to a monster... so she married one.

Or what would you call a person cavalierly indifferent to what he professedly believes is the poisoning, vivesection, and/or burning deaths of over a million defenseless human beings every year?

This headline is misleading.

They both favor abortion.

Kerry is just pulling another Catholic in Name Only flip-flop.
