I was exaggerating, of course. It seemed like it was on TBS everyday for the past two months! Think about it...if I was watching TRUE LIES, when would I have time to Freep????
They definitely like to run the same movie over and over and over...
Probably. But she can counter with her support of the death penalty, etc. I think if the voters got a message that she has FAILED them a la Davis, she'd be toast.
That won't work because people don't expect a senator to run anything. She cannot be blamed for the situation in California, as Davis could.
The key is to portray Boxer, quite accurately, as out of step with normal values and irresponsible on national security.
out of step with normal values and irresponsible on national security.
Personally, I don't know her voting record on these things. I counted her seat as a loss from the day she was elected. How would she be vulnerable on "normal values" and "national security"?
She's simply a hard-left Democrat. Every position you would be likely to have, she's against. Look up her rating from American Conservative Union (acu.org ?), for starters.
You know, that's the problem with CA Reps. Because I did spend some time today reviewing her record and if we go off just assuming she's an easy target because she's a Dem, well we're back to Gray Davis. It doesn't matter what you and I think. What matters is getting a voting majority to believe it.
I don't assume that she's an easy target. I simply say that it's possible to beat her, and it's possible because her record is extreme. Boxer is a difficult target, but not an impossible one.
The key here is money. If we are able to spend enough to get our message out, there is a chance. Bill Jones is a good candidate and will at least do a better job than Fong. It's our responsibility in California to support him.
As an aside, I see Schwarzenegger with a senate seat once he's done as gov.
