JOEL STEINBERG'S RELEASE (dirtbag child-killer let loose)
NY POST ^ | July 4, 2004 | LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Posted on 07/04/2004 3:38:49 AM PDT by Liz

--SNIP--

It is commonly acknowledged that Steinberg is a monster, a subhuman who committed one of the most vicious, heinous and atrocious acts one can perpetrate. He committed brutality against a child who was totally incapable of defending herself. --SNIP-- Oren Spiegler Upper Saint Clair, Pa.

*****

If there is a God in heaven, Lisa will forever have azaleas to give her the peace she never had in her short, sad life — and Joel Steinberg will rot in hell for eternity. Richard Dubetsky Houston, Texas

*****

Only in America can a man who was convicted of beating to death a 6-year-old girl be released after serving only 17 years in prison. Meanwhile, we have people rotting away in jail for dealing small amounts of narcotics. Joel Steinberg is the lowest of human beings. He should never be able to enjoy the freedoms that he denied his daughter. I would hope that this will ignite a debate over judicial reform. Gary Handel Commack

*****

To the 12-year-old girl who is afraid of Joel Steinberg ("Sleazy Rider Joel Takes Limo Back to Town After a 17-Yr. Jail Stretch," July 1): Don't be. The coward would have to be in an apartment with an abused woman before he would do anything. You should be more afraid of the parole board that released the animal. Anthony Molinaro Honesdale, Pa.

They oughta disbar that creep lawyer Darnay Hoffman, who escorted convicted baby-killer Steinberg out of jail last Wednesday in a white stretch limo.

We should have expected el creepo Steinberg to pull something like that. The limo stunt----although it famously backfired-----was so "in your face."

After all, the poor darling killer's "self-esteem" took an awful beating while he was serving time for beating a little girl to death. Now the rest of us are supposed to hide behind political corretness so this scumbag Steinberg can get his "self-esteem" back.

For months, the "Steinberg Resurrection Machine" has been working overtime. We are told the evil child-beater has a media job waiting for him. Isn't that poetic justice? The media bails out the child-killer.

Looks like Steinberg's got plenty of "friends." Soon he'll be his old self, a wacky jokester, full of "self-esteem," gainfully employed, surrounded by simpatico friends......while little Lisa lies buried in the cold, cold ground.

Leaves you wondering who the creep paid off to get himself on the streets, doesn't it? And if he did payoff the right people, where did he get the money? He hasn't worked for 17 years. Oh, this boy's got friends, real good friends.

Revolting.

Simply revolting.

As if the parole of that faux-revolutionary scum-bag (and that's a charitable description of this repugnant woman), Kathy Boudin, weren't enough.

As if the unjustified pardon by 'Der Slickenstein' of Susan Rosenberg weren't enough.

Now we have to look forward to encountering this cretinous wretch roaming the streets of New York.

Let's see, you off two police officers, plan numerous bombings/terrorist assaults, abuse your spouse and murder your child.

Tell me again why David Berkowitz is still incarcerated in a N.Y. state penitentiary?

No. In France and Germany he'd get a couple years probation.

Only in New York, would he get 17 years. In Texas he'd get the rope.

You neglected to mention how Turkey deals with its criminal population.

I've got three words for you:

MIDNIGHT EXPRESS.

He should have the pleasure centers of his brain surgically cauterized. Only in America does the punishment NOT fit the crime.

Good point. Kerry is so "tolerant and compassionate" I'm surprised he hasn't taken a position on child-killers (snort).

You're right. The judicial system has let some monsters out early, unfortunately. Steinberg's release in particular, is a reality horror show. They'd have had to think it up at some point if it hadn't happened. PC gone berserk. I was watching a cable special A&E, on maximum security prisons and sensory deprivation. Claustrophobic is the least of it. Little or no human contact, even for some extremely violent juveniles in one prison. Prisons designed to deprive inmates of natural light.

The prisons are cheaper, but with our PC laws, inmates will be released into society sooner or later, 19 years, I think they said, and they will have been psychologically damaged so badly, they won't be able to live in society without 'reoffending'. Don't you just love that word! We're driving them nuts in jail, then letting them out to be nuts on the street.

There were scientific studies years ago, where they put infant monkeys in single cages, kept them from other monkeys, and they went mad. The monkeys. The max. prison idea seems very Nazi-like, architects paid for out of public funds drawing up plans to force prisoners to undergo personality change through long terms incarceration under these conditions, cruel and unusual (one inmate got out and sued, won $660,000 with ramifications for other states), through psychological torture rather than physical beatings.

The wardens acted defensive (they're not stupid) and said prisoners were given the choice to change or not, what -- change or go nuts? But other than force feeding violent criminals some kind of valium like personality change pill, what can states do? Esp. if capital punishment is off the table.

This turd Steinberg roams free while some poor black guy from the ghetto----a three-time loser----who stole a loaf of bread to feed his family is incarcerated for life.

Yeah, and wouldn't it be funny if he got kidnapped?

The terrorists would actually hear something very unusual: We would be begging them to kill him.

Man o man. Its been 17 years already. I remember it clearly. The shocking photos of that little girl. The weasel on trail. Let's not forget he was a wife beater as well.

There is something wrong with the justice system when a scum like him walks among free men and women.

Let's hope this turd walking the streets will incite judicial reform.

NYC is notorious for installing crooked judges who corrupt the judicial system with fraudulent activities.

There are several cases that have surfaced in just the last few months.....judges taking pay-offs and others with conflicts of interests who are ruling on cases.

God knows how many cases of corrupt judges go unreported.
