That cafeteria food will get you one way or another.

Anyone who's read Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation" can understand why this ConAgra employee went beserk.

I don't get it.

Shooting at Xerox, national attention.
Shooting at a NY Subway, national attention.

Not a peep about this in the media.

Prayers for the victims and families.

Five people just died, five families are now grieving, and all you can do is make a joke.

Shameful.

Prayer for these families.

‘Attitude problem’

Daniel Jenkins, a five-year employee of the plant, told KSHB that he smelled gunsmoke a few minutes after 5 p.m. and went to investigate. He said the gunman was “screaming obscenities, so I closed the door.”

Jenkins said he told colleagues about the gunman, “but they didn't believe me.”

“Another man came screaming out of another end of the building, screaming, ‘It’s true,’ and everyone came running out of the building,” Jenkins said.

Jenkins said he recognized the gunman, whom police described as a black man in his mid-30s, as an employee who had only recently been recalled to work after he had been laid off for about five months.

“He was real quiet and kept to himself,” Jenkins said. “He had a slight attitude problem.”

Just about a year ago, there was a shooting at a meat processing plant (IIRC) in Iowa or northern Missouri.

Maybe some mad-cow transcends the cow-brain...

Wonder how many actually 'get it'?

I learned about it while watching FNC, it was one of the breaking news alerts. I switched to local Fox affiliate news and they're live on the scene. They had a caller who claimed to be a friend of an employee at the plant. She claims the shooter came into the cafeteria and told several people to leave then started shooting. According to her the shooter had been picked on in the past.

Ut O.

I refreshed the page and the pic of the guy milking the cow changed to Daschle and Hillary, so my previous comment is moot.

That's why I don't get it. It doesn't matter where it happens. Any chance that a firearm can be blamed for a crime, the media jumps all over it.

Nobody is confirming the numbers yet but supposedly KU has received 3 wounded. Police Dept spokesperson still won't/can't give any info.

I guess blame it on the holiday weekend, the timing or that we're only flyover country and therefore don't count?

Yeah. I saw Bush and Kerry with footballs and then scrolled back up and there was Belly Girl. It must be some rotating image thing.

Maybe JimRob has snuck in some spyware < snicker>.
