I am halfway though the book. Jayna Davis has this nailed. A terror cell is still in Oklahoma City. There are witnesses who place Timothy McVeigh with John Doe No. 2 -- he is Iraqi. There were former Iraqi soldiers all over Oklahoma City.
Davis puts it together and has the support of notables such as David Schippers and James Woolsey.
"When the full stories of these two incidents (1993 WTC Center bombing and 1995 Oklahoma City bombing) are finally told, those who permitted the investigations to stop short will owe big explanations to these two brave women (Middle East expert Laurie Mylroie and journalist Jayna Davis). And the nation will owe them a debt of gratitude."
Former CIA Director
James Woolsey
FReepers, we must help expose the Iraqi connection. Call your local newspapers and talk show hosts. Get Jayna on the air.
Yes, indeed. He blamed the right wing and right wing hate talk radio. Jayna is going to expose this no matter how they try to hide from it. She needs our help.
Thanks for the heads up. I just bought the book and am cracking it up right now!!!
I just posted a change. She has a very important gig tomorrow night that will help advance the story. She will be available early next week.
"nonexistent witnesses". Yet another stain on the Clinton administration. I'm starting to smell something really bad.
Thanks for the ping!
Re your post #77.,.You are right to a certain degree. OKC changed the talking points. Until that time there was a certain chic about railing against the government in general and Clinton in particular. OKC changed that. Only those who passed the "kook test" was still talking about that stuff. Remember initally some talk radio was saying we don't agree with the tactics, but we understand the frustration. Even that died pretty quickly.
Clinton allocated resources to home grown right wing terrorists rather than the real problem --- ISLAMIC TERRORISTS. That was done for his own political agenda.
Absolutely!
By the way...I've wondered this for years...does she have security protection? Anyone know?
Truth will out BUMP
This isn't just about OKC to me anymore. Bill Clinton got away with blaming right wing talk radio, marginalizing us all but more importantly burying the threat of Islamic terrorism. It is of burning relevance today because those same forces are doing everything possible to do the same to the President now. John Kerry has no vision except the return to Clinton like policies, he may feel an obligation to keep us in Iraq but not because he believes in the power of freedom to combat terrorism.
If you could ping me when a time is set, I'd appreciate it. I hope it will be as much about getting organized as getting informed.
During this time frame, the apprentice bomb makers embarked on experimentation, mixing small bottle explosives at Nichols' Michigan farm. McVeigh eventually graduated to detonating a pipe bomb in the Arizona desert. However, the device did not pack a very powerful blast; the detonation only managed to crack a boulder.
"Tim couldn't blow up a rock. Then Terry goes to the Philippines and Tim says he builds the bomb," McVeigh's lead attorney Stephen Jones preached in and out of the courtroom. The defense team grew enormously frustrated with their client's failure to elucidate how he acquired the technical skills to create a terrorist bomb that detonated flawlessly.
"He told us that he read it in a book....Some of the things he said simply did not add up with what our experts told us. We thought he was basically memorizing what somebody else told him," the Oklahoma lawyer wryly pointed out, confident the duplicitous McVeigh was covering for Nichols' liaisons with Middle Eastern bomb experts in the Philippines, a mecca of international terrorism.
ping to #84: update on Jayna's availability.
Thanks, Doug.
McVeigh & Nichols, who supposedly masterminded the whole OKC bombing from research/planning to bomb-making to the attack itself. Down to the last detail everything is perfect.
Until McVeigh is pulled over driving a car without a license plate.
Rocket science.
(thanks to milknocookies for showing me the pic).
We are trying to schedule for the beginning of next week.
I contemplated in silent amusement my limited options in tackling the impractical news assignment--pray for a miracle that a CIA case officer of the local Israeli Mossad agent would share with me classified intelligence about a possible foreign plot; or I could quit daydreaming and begin monitoring the satellite feeds of FBI press conferences. The latter was the only realistic alternative. That is, until one telephone call to the newsroom turned my journalistic lottery fantasy into a groundbreaking lead. One inside tip led me directly to the doorstepof what several esteemed intelligence experts later characterized as a Middle Eastern terrorist cell operating in the heart of Oklahoma City.
If interested, Jayna Davis is on Quinn's show now. It's a "Best of Quinn" since Quinn and Rose are on vacation. But, tonight, go to www.warroom.com and you can hear a repeat of today's show in the warroom archives. You should all hear this if you haven't already.
Thanks. BTTT!
