It is amazing that we can make contracts binding except for the most important contract of all, the marriage contract. Just imagine what chaos would result if business was conducted via a no-fault clause in the contract.

Then add the conclusion that the foundation of society is more important than a sound business environment. We are engaged in a race to the bottom, where less respect for marriage is fostered and creates even less respect in the future for marriage, the building block of society. Marriage should not be slavery to an abused partner, but a reasonable excuse should be required to end it.
