Maybe this is true....... maybe not. The only English word he knew was "relax"? Give me a break!

For some reason (probably advertising), the word "relax" does seem to be pretty wide spread. It's made it into European Spanish, for example, where I have even heard it used as a noun and an adjective. But Americans also use it fairly often in daily speech - "Just relax!" for example, when we want to calm things down but don't want to yell "siddown and shaddup!" So it's possible he heard it used by our troops.

People are living fairly normal lives in a lot of Iraq. CNN (and their other cohorts in the mainstream media) distorts the truth to the point that we here don't even recognize the place they're talking about when they report on Iraq.

There is an amazing amount of fun and relaxing things you can do in a war zone if you use your imagination.

There are many, many more good news stories from Iraq that will never see the light of day in the press.

"...Today, an honest Iraqi citizen can only call for the American departure. But I believe we have to help them leave in a peaceful manner. The guerillas only sabotage. They are the biggest obstacle to the reconstruction of Iraq.”

Enough said - Next
