Good letter Mayor. I thought about it for a good part of the day while completing my deliveries. What troubles me with the whole thing is that we as individuals and business owners must now be reduced to begging the government to grant us a privilege for something that should be a right. Tobacco is still legal. So the guv forbidding the consumption of a legal substance and especially forbidding a business from providing a place for that consumption smacks of outright tyranny. However, even if you could convince Mr. Pataki to issue some sort of executive order grandfathering any bar/restaurant that chose to opt out, the local health Czars still control the decisions. Citizens need to remove the Nazis on local health boards first. I don't know how. Are they appointed for certain time periods? If so by whom are they appointed. There is where the pressure is needed I would think.

I think your right, I do not know the term of the healyh czar, I will find out though.

The letter I sent out was aimed at the County Legislators.
Albany has destroyed the economey of Erie County and the rest.
We all need to put fire under the feet of the locals.
They are responsible for what happens locally,
they can easily act in the best interest of the business economy,
when that falls, revenue falls, loss of local jobs, local sales tax revenue, etc, etc!!
Where will the money come from ? It will have to come in the
way of tax increases because you know as ell as I do,
the cuts always cut the hard working little guy and never
the top, lard asses, and management.

So needless to say, I have got to get to work on the website,
I want to publish this as a site for AlbanyPolitics.com
how what thery do effects us. They lack of local coverage is terrible
and they only tell us what they want us to hear.
Do we ever know when an issue is dead in committee?
NO!
I have a friend that lobbies in Albany for Christian issues.
He sends the voting record out on all of them, we can pin point the problem and Freep attack, hehe..
