During that interview, given on Thursday in Washington, Bush displayed annoyance and at one point lost his temper when he was contradicted by Irish journalist Carole Coleman.

And the paragraph prior to it

WTF? I saw the clip. He was annoyed at being interrupted, but that was far from losing his temper.

Hell, he didn't even walk out of the interview.

Bush was being badgered by Carole Coleman. Unlike the butt-kissing given to Clinton by reporters.

Bush was also much calmer than when Clinton blew up on a British dude.

Bush was far too polite to the reporter. She was being an obnoxious boor and argumentative.

"Asked about the mounting death toll in Iraq, Bush commented: "Nobody cares more about the deaths than I do"."

Here's where I wish Bush were faster on his feet.

Alternative response: "What do you mean 'mounting death toll? Every month Saddam is not in power, another 5000 Iraqis aren't murdered. Saddam's Baathist thugs and foreign terrorists are still murdering people today. Why aren't you angry at the murderers, rather than the people who are saving lives?"

B.S. I've seen him lose his temper frequently...it comes out as a look of annoyance and a marked speeding up of his speech. He also raises his voice. This is normal behavior to me, having grown up that way in a whole family of people who do the same thing. Everyone I've ever met who's in the least bit civilized does this. There's no way it's the reason the interview was axed.

Now, the president hollaring at a moron who's asking him stupid questions about rumors that have been debunked over and over....yeah, now that might be a reason. "Abu Graib, Abu Graib, Afghan Wedding, Prisoner Abuse, Iraqi Wedding, Prisoner Abuse, Naked MEN!!!! OOOOO Naked MEN!!!...Quagmire, Prisoner Abuse, More Troops, Quagmire, Vietnam, Prisoner Abuse, Naked MEN!!!... Vietnam...."

I hope the reporter has a black eye.

Good, I'm glad they cancelled the interview. If RTE can't find any reporters with manners they deserve to be shut out.

It seems the Irish are just more rude European elitists. Coming from a country whose only exports is booze and emigrants, it's no wonder.

No class. I bet they'll see eye to eye with somebody like Vincente Fox.

The Irish interviewer was rude and disrespectful. I would bet my bottom dollar MRS. Bush was not happy about how they treated her husband, and she, therefore, did not want to do the interview.

During that interview, given on Thursday in Washington, Bush displayed annoyance and at one point lost his temper when he was contradicted by Irish journalist Carole Coleman.

"Let me finish please. Let me answer your question and then you'll follow up," a visibly annoyed Bush told her.

No mention, of course, of the fact that he was interrupted multiple times. They want to make it sound like he lost his temper because he was out-debated.

"Asked about the mounting death toll in Iraq..."

He should have pointed out to that nitwit that this is what we're up against--murderous terrorists who have attacked the U.S. and will, if left unchecked, destroy her, Ireland, and the rest of Western Civilization. In fact, they have declared that this is their intent and demostrated their determination to carry it out.

This interviewer must be very stupid.

To: Kaslin; meenie

Most of the Irish are rude, elitist Europeans as much as other Europeans are. I've work with a large USA narrow interest group for quite a few years but if President Bush is not elected, will filter mail from Europeans forever afterward.

They have no right to participate in our Election campaigns with their filthy money, media or otherwise. They are conceited bigots who blow their horns too much and do so with little knowledge. With their shallow, nearly transparent inferences, they parrot and recycle worn out NAZI propaganda. They ignore facts. They ignore dictionary definitions and say that those are irrelevant (see Gramsci). They are too easily brainwashed by their communist/fascist media.

If they had any sense at all, they wouldn't bow in their stupidities to idiotic caricatures of our President contrived by their radical left puppetmasters.

I thought that interview was given in Ireland. The room didn't look like any room I've seen in the White House.

I listened to the interview and I thought the President showed extraordinary restraint in the face of Carol Coleman's rude interruptions.

The reporter was obviously biased in favor of the demonstrators & kept repeating the same questions because she wasn't getting the answers she wanted.

I'm glad that our First Lady will not be subjected to such rude behavior.

I'm ashamed to say that my family roots are in Ireland.

Asked about the mounting death toll in Iraq, Bush commented: "Nobody cares more about the deaths than I do".

And how dare this Irish reporter grill Bush on deaths that he is not responsible for when they were silent while Saddam killed an average of 16,000 Iraqis a year for a total of more than 300,000.

This idea Bush has to answer at all to these low-life hypocrites is disgusting.
