In an unprecedented move, President Bush's campaign has scheduled a prominent Democrat, Sen. Zell Miller of Georgia, to make a prime-time speech to the Republican National Convention in New York.
Mr. Miller, who gave the keynote address at the 1992 Democratic convention that nominated Bill Clinton for president, has agreed to address the Republicans in prime time, possibly on Sept. 2 when the delegates will nominate Mr. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney to head the ticket once again, confided a Republican with close ties to those planning the convention.

If the Democrats weren't on the wrong side of history and the War On Terror, they wouldn't need to be outraged.
Considering the path the democrats are currently taking, their will be more democrats crossing over to the party of personal responsibility from the party of anything goes
And here the Democrats talk about the need for bipartisanship! If anyone's dividing the nation, it ain't President Bush.
He keeps saying he won't change parties, but I suspect he will eventually. I think he's testing the waters now.
And the "news" is what?! They are always "outraged" about something. I can't imagine being so bitter. It's really none of their business when, where or what Zell Miller does. They have ignored him for so long he should be the one to be outraged.

Now, Mr. Woodhouse said, "We think there is no question you are seeing the president drag down Republican candidates across the country, including in strongholds in the South."
Nonsense, Republican strategists respond, the Democrats are just whistling Dixie.
"This is like Custer's Last Stand for them," the Republican chairman in South Carolina, Katon Dawson, said. "Look at how they're running from their nominee. I mean, their candidates in the South are just absolutely getting on a bus and running away from John Kerry. Meanwhile, we're hugging George Bush. "
If he changes parties he outlives his usefulness to the campaign.
Miller is retiring after his term expires in January anyways.

Brad Woodhouse says his candidate isn't avoiding the abortion question, just emphasizing other issues--like jobs.
In his own words, he does not even buy green bannanas (Age joke, have to hear him say it for effect). Hes never going to run for anything again, and does more good as a Democrat backing conservatives than as a republican..
I think this is key. Dems think of the opposition party as the enemy, not as the opposition. You creeps, the enemy is trying to kill you and cut your empty heads off -- its not the ones trying to beat you at the polls.

You realize that with Miller and McCain speaking, the GOP convention will be addressed by both a leading Democrat senator, and the top choice to be the VP candidate on the Dem ticket....
Absolutley right. The dems were all aglow when they thought that McCain would join up with them, now Miller causes outrage. What a bunch of phonies.
