It was an act egged on by the French for their own reasons. Unless you believe they were still sore about Athelstan.
Again, the lowland Scots are Angles, not Celtic Scots, and they were there a hundred years before the Scots were. So how come you condemn the English for "invading" everyone but not the Scots for invading northern Scotland and taking it from the Picts? Why aren't you crusading against the evil Scots for invading Pictland?
Even the Irish are not "indigenous." They took their "sacred motherland" from another people who preceded them, as all peoples have done since spreading out from Babylon after the Tower of Babel.
