Am glad I saw your reply before 'leaving' the Finest this morning - have some posts I want to answer at Amy's Place!

Enjoy your company - in a way, the water damage inside is a blessing - it's a good excuse not to have to have a spotless house when company comes. LOL!

You bothered me just to look at a rainbow?!!!

... (Thanks.)

It was still raining. We were scurrying to get into the Post Office. I said to the people around me, "There's a rainbow!!"

Everybody looked. ... Everybody smiled.

I will, she will be calling here soon enough and I will walk her through more of how to get around.

She is a recovering democrat, her eyes have been opened Thank God,
Now if I could only get the rest of the family to wake up!

Kewl!
We're delighted Rus has brought you here to enjoy the Finer Things of Life -- and America..:))

We mostly behave ourselves so he will not again threaten to feed us.
We know he was a cook in the Army, and did not need that block long table loaded with 'SOS' for breakfast the other day - LOL.

To paraphrase a great American: I have only begun to unpack.

Good grief ... amazing how much stuff I've accumulated over the years.

I tossed a lot, but still have way too much. Once I get it all here and sorted out, I'll toss some more... )

Although I got only a dreaded red 'x' - I pasted the properties into an e-mail to myself in order to view it.

I do believe 'Darksheare was there!'

President Ronald Reagan's term saw triumph and tragedy for NASA -- from the first space shuttle mission in 1981, to his 1984 call to develop a permanently manned space station, to the 1986 Challenger disaster. His moving tribute to the seven Challenger crewmembers inspired the nation.

President Reagan also brought his sense of humor to NASA, as seen in this 1981 photo from Mission Control in Houston. Making an extremely long-distance call, the President jokingly asked Joe Engle and Richard Truly, the crew of the second Shuttle flight (STS-2), if they could stop by Washington en route to their California landing site so that he could come along with them.

Standing behind Reagan, left to right, are Terry J. Hart, NASA Deputy Administrator Dr. Hans Mark, NASA Administrator James M. Beggs, and Johnson Space Center Director Dr. Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Seated next to the President is astronaut Daniel C. Brandenstein, talking to the crew in the role of CAPCOM. Directly above the President in the background is Johnson Space Center Flight Operations Director Eugene F. Kranz.

Here is a Child's Perspective ~ ~

STORM CHILD
Sent By: Ray Lau

A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school.

As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school, and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child.

Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky.

Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look and smile. Another and another were to follow quickly, each with the little girl stopping, looking at the streak of light and smiling.

Finally, the mother called her over to the car and asked,
"What are you doing?"

The child answered, "God just keeps taking pictures of me."

Lord, help me to trust You as much as this little one, especially when the storms of life crash around me.

God Bless you today, whatever storm you are facing!!

Hi, (((Billie)))!

We keep missing each other :0(

What happens when we have different schedules.

I'm doing fine, I got a new esay (okay, a rant) I'm working on for Monday about foriegners who are trying to tell us who they think our leaders should be.

Or should I set it up as a separate thread?

I don't like the idea of putting it on a thread where it doens't match the theme of the thread for the day. I know you have "no-theme" threads but they alway develope a theme and that dictated what is discussed.

But if I put up a separate thread (a vanity thread) than some will not read it as they don't go to vanity threads. so what can I do?
