If true, quite a slap in the face of Edwards and McAuliffe.
McCain needs to get a TRO against Kerry.
Geppie is Kerry's VP choice. The unions have spoken.
Clearly Minorities, Women, and Children will suffer the most.
Edwards has probably already turned Kerry down. He doesn't like Kerry and probably doesn't want to become another Bentsen.
Link to story please. Before I taunt some folks I want proff in hand. I checked Fox and couldn't find it. A little help..
While I don't think Kerry can win, I really don't think Kerry/Edwards(I'm a wealthy trial lawyer) would win.
If he gets real desperate he might drag out the beast from Arkansas.
If he does, I'm going to take out an insurance policy on him. Thats a sure road to Arkanside.
(btw, they'll be in close proximity to Salem for a few late night trips).
I just wonder if McCain is stringing kerry along?
McCain should accept Kerry's offer--then endorse Bush after he wins the 'Rats' nomination.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading an article which stated McCain's home state strictly forbid him from running for veep and the Senate, and the deadline to file for running for the senate has already passed....
How big of a bunch of idiots do they take us for? If these conversations were real, they'd be behind closed doors. File this with Kerry's mourning of Reagen: a silly attempt at looking moderate.
(Rolls eyes) How many times does this make?
I've said it a thousand times, and I'll say it again: If Kerry has to CONTINUALLY ask McCain to be his veep, then he knows no one on his side is gonna get the job done! The only thing Kerry is getting out of this is looking more pathetic and useless than he already is.
LOL...BTW, I called Kerry's D.C. office about 10:30 this morning. Got a recording giving me the office hours and telling me to call back during that time.......LOL......guess his staff beats it out of town when the boss is out of town!!!
McCain has nothing to gain by joining with Kerry. But I heard somone say that if Kerry should win, he would probably offer McCain the position of Sec. of State, a position that McCain would much rather have the VP. He might go for that. And like someone allluded to on this thread, I find it troublesome that both Pres. & VP candidates have had cancer.
So Kerry thinks the best man for the job is a Republican, too funny!
McCain's already tunred it down like seven times! How dense is John Effin?
I passed this on, and I do think if it were true we'd have some confirmation of it by now!! Who said this on Fox?
Furthermore, if Kerry would even consider someone who's a Republican, he can just as well consider someone like Lieberman---pro-war---yet a "good" Democrat. Lieberman would be the sentimental favorite, being half the losing team in 2000. He's been through the process, he's been tested. (Pre-loved, as they say in the second-hand stores.) Kerry could pitch the choice to the Jewish voters and the moderates. Lieberman can't make Kerry look old, tired and ugly the way John Edwards can. Lieberman is a proven team player who'll switch positions to accommodate the upper half of the ticket (as he did for Gore).
All the talk of McCain being picked, only softens up the Dems for the choice of the relatively hawkish Lieberman.
