The 9-11 Commission was filled by the rat party with the likes of Jamie Gorelik, and other traitors and spin doctors.

This article's indictment of the media is most effective.

The commission started off a joke and it still is. Bunch of partisan hacks who have a chance to strut and look as if they are the best thing since sliced bread.

As far as I am concerned, anyone who had anything to do with this Commission has a huge, permanent black spot on their resume.

The most insightful dissection of the joke that is the 9/11 commission, so far. Her analysis of Chris Matthew's beloved 9/11 widows is spot on. I wonder if Ms. Burlingame will receive as much TV air time?

I shouldn't be so astonished that the Democrats have turned tragedy into a political circus. The author is being reasonable, thoughtful and objective and does a fine job of putting the events of 9/11 into perspective.
What I don't understand is why the media is so completely incapable of doing the same thing. Instead we are treated to salacious headlines and inflammatory stories blaming Bush. Political opinion is one thing, but the blatant distortion of the 9/11 commission's findings for political gain is beyond partisanship, it's evil.

Because covering a school for clowns is easy. Real investigative reporting would take some time and brains.

A brilliantly written article by a 9/11 family member.

As the 9/11 Commission puts the finishing touches on its findings and recommendations due next month, I am steeling myself for the media's breathless rush to publish all the shocking revelations that show how incompetent we are as a nation. While I am skeptical of the commission's stated determination to keep politics out of its final report, I have no doubt whatsoever that with the presidential election just months away, those editors and producers who package the news will find it impossible not to do what they've done since Watergate changed the face of journalism: find a smoking gun, present it to the American people, and congratulate the effort as "what distinguishes us from our enemies." Meanwhile, Osama bin Laden and his murdering tribe will sit back with satisfaction as they watch the infidels tear themselves apart.

The 9-11 Commission was filled by the rat party with the likes of Jamie Gorelik, and other traitors and spin doctors. And of course the sleaze quotion goes off the scale when Richard Ben Venista is factored in.

Because in their eyes (media & Democrats) the actual 'enemy' is not Bin Laden, it is conservatives and Replubicans, which are the real objects that "must be defeated" so they (Democrats) can take power again. That is their 'priority #1', not the defense of our country. Sad, but true.

As the 9/11 Commission's staff statement reported, these valiant men and women "struggled, under difficult circumstances, to improvise a homeland defense against an unprecedented challenge they had never encountered and had never trained to meet." Now they are being blamed because these improvised efforts didn't work. Even worse, they are being told that their hard-fought but doomed efforts amounted to incompetence and poor judgment that cost lives. What a rotten deal. Never forget ... how despicable are these commission members.

The apparatchniks have put on their "show trial".
Incidently, the question posed by the NORAD duty officer may have been due to the fact that there was an exercise planned in conjunction with the meeting of FEMA officials that day.
You may remember that many of these officials were stuck (I believe in Florida or Washington, D.C.) and could not get to their posts because of the grounding of aircraft.
