Or, if Israel perceives a threat from that direction, they might take action.

I heard a blurb on the news yesterday that we either leased or sold a couple of KC-10 tankers to Israel this past week. Israeli fighter/bombers now have the range to carry out the mission on their own. I think Iran's nuclear program will be gone by years end, at least the stuff we know about.

It would not be the first time they have helped the world out.

Thanks for thinking of me when you "ping." Here's another for you: Geronimo took on and fought a 5000 man US Cavalry force to a standstill using guerilla tactics with only about twenty warriors.

No "might" about it. Israel will take action sometime this summer against the plant in Iran. I'm pretty sure they have already warned the U.S. of their plans.

You're welcome. It just takes a spark. Like the Japanese, al Qaeda misinterprets its own enthusiasm for assurance of victory. Americans are way more fanatical about their freedom and safety than our enemies care to estimate.

People who pen songs like Davy Crockett's farewell as he left for Texas don't give in to fear.

The fallen will go ahead of us...

FAREWELL TO MOUNTAINS

Farewell to the mountains whose mazes to me
Were more beautiful far than Eden could be;
No fruit was forbidden, but Nature has spread
Her bountiful board, and her children were fed.
The hills were our garners- our herds wildly grew
And nature was shepherd and husbandman too
I felt like a monarch, yet thought like a man,
As I thanked the great Giver, and worshipped his plan.

The home I forsake when my offspring arose;
The graves I forsake where my children repose.
The home I redeemed from the savage and wild;
The home I have loved as a father his child;
The corn that I planted, the fields that I cleared,
The flocks that I raised and the cabin I reared;
The wife of my bosom-- Farewell to ye all!
In the land of the stranger I rise or I fall.

Farewell to my country! I fought for thee well,
When the savage rushed forth like the demons from hell.
In peace or in war I have stood by thy side--
My country, for thee I have lived, would have died!
But I am cast off, my career now is run,
And I wander abroad like the prodigal son--
Where the wild savage roves, and the broad prairies spread,
The fallen-- despised-- will again go ahead.

Man for man they are the best and most tested combat troops in the world. Of course it took "The Holocaust" and six million dead to wake them up to the necessity of personal defense! But they have several times defeated the combined attacks of their enemies. They became nuclear capable some time ago. It's one reason they haven't had to fight another all out frontal attack. If there's one thing I'm certain of, they would actually use a nuke to insure their survival.

You're right.

One wonders how long it will take for Muslims to realize that those who commit murder, suicide, terrorrism, slavery, revenge, and torture are serving Satan and not God; that any "god" who sanctions such things is not God but is Satan; and that anyone who commits such sins in the name of God commits the ultimate blasphemy.

Israel's Mossaad had an incredible reputation.

"Israel's Mossaad had an incredible reputation."

Some of the burnish is off their sterling rep, but MOSSAD is still quite formidable. Back in the mid 80's they were brought in to give the G-Staff where I was working a (then) classified training course on terrorism and espionage our outfit might be able to expect after the attack on General Dozier in Italy. To my knowledge, the 9th ID General Staff was the only stateside unit to get that course. That was due to our status as the High Tech Test Bed.

Today, MOSSAD is still the primary factor in maintaining the security of the Jewish State via intelligence and even direct action.

No question, we often emulate what they do, right now they are putting up a fence, any ideas?

I love their idea on the high tech border defenses. It's a little simpler for them than such a thing would be for us. I'm not sure such a thing is very doable for us. Our terrain along our borders, especially the border with Canada would tend to overcome the available technology. So would the distances involved. But what's the saying? Necessity is the mother of invention?

An idea of a southern fence of our own appeals to me.

I think when Israel decides its time, Irans nukes will get severely preempted.

Also, I would place a much higher priority over protecting Israel from its neighbors, than Taiwan from China.

Could you imagine the escalation in this war If Israel does strike Iran? So be it. Though it might better serve our strategic plan if we beat Israel to Iran. But they cant and shouldnt expect that we would, and Im sure they dont. Scary times, good to know we hold the moral high ground in this war against murderers.

Happy Fathers day to all you dads.

I like the idea of a fence with Mexico I know it would cost a fortune but in the long run with a couple of choppers might be a cheap way out.
