I'll have to wait to see the actual interview...this sounds much like the leak story of Clinton's videotaped testimony, where he supposedly stormed out of the room and it ended up making him look good compared to the viewer's expectations.
It could be a ratings stunt. Don't get me wrong, I hoped it happened, but this guy will stop at nothing to get people to focus on him.
Bubba only needs to "put some ice on it" on the nights he strikes out.

I bet it is a big setup. Remember his deposition with Starr? He was said to have gotten so pissed he stormed out. Never happened. This allowed the Clintonoids to spin the hell out of it - everyone watched to see him implode but instead he slid right on through the noose.

U.S. interviewers have so far handled the impeached ex-president with kid gloves during book interviews. CBS's Dan Rather praised the presidential tome to the hilt after his own sit-down with Clinton, set for broadcast Sunday on CBS's "60 Minutes."

I don't believe they took even one counseling session as one would normally interpret the meaning of "counseling session".
Scot7278 may be right. Team Clinton specifically went to CBS and told them that Clinton flew into a fit of rage during Starr's videotaped questioning. Half the country tuned in to the television coverage to see Clinton handle the questions very well. Rather and the "Face the Nation" star sat there and gushed about how well he had handled compared to what they had thought. (For the life of me I can't remember who hosts Face the Nation) but he actually stated on camera that he had been the one that Team Clinton had approached regarding the blow up.
Clinton still wants to be UN President. This is being broadcast in Europe and they don't seem to mind the infidelity there as much as we do.
It was Bob Schieffer who was told by a WH insider that Clinton had a "purple rage". Schieffer should have realized his source was not trustworthy, but there ya go.
The Dimbleby interview will make Dan Rather look like a fool. Dan, sit back and take notes on how a real journalist works. Dan Rather interviewing Clinton is like Barbara Walters interviewing some celebrity. No hardball questions, just fluff and BS all over the place.
You're the second poster to say that instead of purple rage, Clinton did very well, or as the other person said "ran rings around Starr" (never mind that Starr wasn't even there).
He did not do well. It is when he informed us there are different nuances to the meaning of "is".
The rage story was indeed sent out to deflect and misdirect--and it wasn't because he did well.
At least he wasn't in the doghouse. ;^)
