Campaign Tells Kerry To Shut Up
EIB ^ | 6-18-04 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 06/18/2004 10:49:18 PM PDT by jmstein7

Senator John Kerry's advisors are telling him to shut up -- again -- this time about religion. He's not supposed to talk about religion because he's run afoul of several Catholic bishops after the campaign's new director of religious outreach was criticized this week for espousing left-wing causes. (Washington Times story) That would be none other than "Reverend Robert Drinan, a Jesuit priest who served in Congress during the 70s." It doesn't say here he was on the Watergate committee. (Laughing.) They of course leave that out (Laughing.) But "he had advised the campaign to clamp down on religious rhetoric and 'keep cool on the communion thing' after four Catholic bishops either barred Kerry by name from taking communion in their diocese or said pro-choice Catholics should be denied the sacrament. 'The mood now is to shut up about it,' said Father Drinan, who teaches at Georgetown University law school. He said the communion debate 'is a nonissue' in the Kerry campaign and simply a tool of the Republican Party. Meanwhile, the Kerry campaign has now sidelined its new religion advisor..."

You know something? If you need a religious advisor! Can you believe this? A religion advisor? What's a religion advisor going to do, tell you how you can get away with passing the plate in church and take campaign contributions, like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson can get away with doing? What is a religious advisor? (Impression of religious advisor) "Now, Psalms comes after Genesis. There's the Old Testament and there's the New Testament. You are a Catholic, senator. You should know this." What is a religious advisor? Next thing you know, we're going to have a campaign plane advisor. We're going to have -- well, we probably do. Kerry is the campaign plane advisor. "'Every time something with religious language gets sent up the flagpole, it got sent back down stripped of religious language,' a Kerry campaign source said of the new advisor, Mara Vanderslice, whose job," Oh, here it is. Her job "is to come up with ideas on overcoming Kerry's secular image." For those of you in Rio Linda, let me translate that for you. What it means is that this babe, Ms. Vanderslice's job is to come up with a way to convince people that John Kerry, a confessed Catholic, actually believes in God. Well, that's what it means! Well, you can't talk about God. That's the problem -- especially Democrats. You start talking God you're in big trouble with your own constituents. Meanwhile, it looks like this weekend may be the weekend where we get to know who Kerry's veep is going to be. (story) It's going back and forth between (Congressman Dick) Gephardt and John Edwards. John Edwards has been told to cancel all of his appointments, if he had any, this weekend for consultation with Kerry. Also, it was going to be Wesley Clark, but he supposedly has fallen out of favor. But now there's something else that's throwing a monkey wrench into this. They now say that Kerry needs to pick someone with foreign policy credentials. Other Democrats are saying this. "Adding to the confusion are Democrats inside and outside the campaign who are privately urging Kerry's selection team to pick somebody with foreign policy credentials like (Former Senator) Sam Nunn."

Well, wait a minute. Didn't Kerry serve in Vietnam? I think I found a story here where it doesn't say that! This is Ron Fournier in the Associated Press, and I read this, and it doesn't say here that he served in Vietnam. But I thought John Kerry was himself his own, um, foreign policy credential. I mean, he knows all these European leaders. He has all these worlds leaders that have told him they need him to beat Bush. He's in bed already with the United Nations. By the way, folks, have you heard what's going on at the United Nations? You know, not only talking about the oil-for-food program. (Scandal) This is something else. See if I can remember this and get this right because I don't have the story right in front of me, but there's some high ranking muckety-muck diplomat there that's been spreading favors around inside the UN and around the world with his office, and somebody in his office didn't like it and complained about it, a whistle-blower, and this guy has suspended the whistle-blower, and is attempting to go destroy his reputation, and the controversy is that these things are not supposed to be known outside the UN. (story)

Any time they're whistleblowing going on their internal controversial matters, they're supposed to be dealt with internally so nobody knows -- and it's leaked out, and so (UN Secretary General / Son Ran Oil-for-Food Scam) Kofi Annan is saying (summarizing), "I don't think this is right, people knowing what's going on at our institution. I don't think this should be discussed publicly. We're working on it internally." For crying out loud, this is the United Nations, John Kerry's favorite place! This is what John Kerry thinks we should do to defend America, and this is one of the most corrupt institutions on the planet -- and the oil-for-food program alone illustrates that. So I don't know why they think he needs somebody did. Let's see, he needs somebody that can win the South. That's Edwards. He needs somebody who can unify the country. That's McCain. He needs somebody who can bring military gravitas, so that would be Wesley Clark. But he (Kerry) was in Vietnam! He was the United States Senate! He knows the United Nations.

Of course he doesn't have experience in the south. He actually said we can win without the South, and he needs somebody to get Big Labor. I mean, if you listen to these people talk about the veep that he needs, it's clear they know they've nominated the wrong guy. They're relying too much on this veep to pick up the slack that Kerry has left hanging around, and with this new poll out today -- by the way, I forgot to mention in the last hour why the Democrats are in a funk, not just this poll, and not just the fact that every bit of ammo they've tried isn't working, but the one man (Gasp!) the one man that they say, that they have publicly said could unify the country if he would be John Kerry's VP, John McCain today traveled to Washington and endorsed the president's policy in Iraq you, introduced the president, clearly standing happily arm in arm, hand in hand, receiving a hero's welcome. So the man who the Democrats say could unify America is now appearing with George W. Bush. I'm telling you, folks: It's not a good day for these people, and if they're going through all these things, "religion advisor" and need somebody to convince others he's not secular. Pshew! Come on. (Laughing.)

<< I just love it when this LURCH keeps on blabbing away

It serves America every which way good to see this arrogant ultra-rich "liberal" talk his way into trouble and the more he spins the more he messes himself up. >>

And meanwhile the Bush Amnesty has encouraged another wave of criminal-alien invasion -- a wave that now sees an actual ten thousand net criminal aliens per day potentially added to the many many millions of criminal aliens already illegally, unlawfully, unconstitutionally and criminally placed on our nation's electoral roles by the systemically-corrupt KKKli'toon/Goreleone INS. [That --in 'cooperation' with the systemically-corrupt Goreleone airline-security commission and systemically-corrupted KKKli'toon "justice" department -- also brought us September 11 2001]

An actual army of criminal aliens, that is, whose welcoming hatred-driven hostile colonies are already well established in our nation's midst -- and every last one of whom is already postal-enrolled by their "DemocRATic" potty coyotes -- and programmed to "vote" for such sufferers of the Liberal Psychosis as the pathologically un-and-anti-American, Kohnkerry.

Never never never never underestimate the evil that drives our nation's enemies -- of which such "DemocRATS" as the Hitlery-KKKli'toons, the Al-fredo Goreleones and the Kerrys are but the visible manifestation -- and its determination to do whatever, including our beloved fraternal republic's destruction, [Witness Florida, 2000!] it takes to win.

Kerry's not over 'till he's over!

[Please G-d![

Kerry's self described reputation is that of 11th hour winner. Witness his belated sprint to the finishline in the primaries. He is probably counting on overshooting Bush during the 9/11 Rememberances when he will be in prominant attention with his media sycophants.

It is not over until its over and the fat lady sings. (or that woman manages to live after her hasty retreat to Kenya.)

Well, the fair TerAYsa (She who must be obeyed), is busy yelling orders in Botoxboy's shell-like ear, 24/7. He must be confused. Anger her and he stands to lose the money machine. And if he loses the election, he's only got his senate seat...since he refuses to resign from the senate.
