However, Ron, Jr. is making the point that Reagan would have "done some things differently" in order to try to use his father's prestige to bash Bush.
The bottom line is that that assertion is irrelevant. We may ask ourselves "What would Jesus do?" to try to find a correct path. In human endeavors, however, no human has a monoply on the "correct path".
Reagan and Bush are both skinning the cat in their own ways.
