Yeah, those were more innocent times, when I still believed that the press would--any day now--wake up and do its job. And I really trusted the Republicans, who had just won control of Congress, to hold hearings that really accomplished what they ostensibly set out to do. So I spent a lot of time, informing myself, calling newspapers, congressmen, etc. Maybe it did some good, maybe not. Oh well, if nothing else, we Freepers at least kept the Clintons from getting very many good nights' sleep their entire eight years in the White House.
