I just wish the Republicans would run a conservative for President. I miss you Barry Goldwater. We indeed have become a nation of bread and circuses.

"Rather than useful jobs in our country, people have been offered bureaucratic "make work," rather than moral leadership, they have been given bread and circuses, spectacles, and, yes, they have even been given scandals. Tonight there is violence in our streets, corruption in our highest offices, aimlessness among our youth, anxiety among our elders and there is a virtual despair among the many who look beyond material success for the inner meaning of their lives. Where examples of morality should be set, the opposite is seen. Small men, seeking great wealth or power, have too often and too long turned even the highest levels of public service into mere personal opportunity"

"I believe that we must look beyond the defense of freedom today to its extension tomorrow. I believe that the communism which boasts it will bury us will, instead, give way to the forces of freedom. And I can see in the distant and yet recognizable future the outlines of a world worthy our dedication, our every risk, our every effort, our every sacrifice along the way. Yes, a world that will redeem the suffering of those who will be liberated from tyranny. I can see and I suggest that all thoughtful men must contemplate the flowering of an Atlantic civilization, the whole world of Europe unified and free, trading openly across its borders, communicating openly across the world. This is a goal far, far more meaningful than a moon shot." --Goldwater's 1964 Acceptance Speech

I want a landslide so bad that I can taste it. That's why I will nag every neighbor to go to the polls and vote for Bush. He's going to need a landslide to shut these people up and have them act like decent humanbeings for a change.

Historic things are happening and the media is keeping silent on them because of their bias. The truth of Saddam is being swept under a rug because these liars are afraid it might help Bush. The corrupt rotteness of our "press" is enough to turn your stomach.

I hope you're right. I think Bush is 75% likely to win. I'd call it as follows.

Bush 54 Kerry 46 - (40 states to 10) 25% Likely
Bush 51 Kerry 49 - (33 states to 17, no one goes to bed earlier than 2 am) 50% likely
Kerry 52 - Bush 48- (32 states to 18) - 25% likely.

25% is likely enough to be scary. November is time to walk precincts at GOTV.

Exactly what I tell a "moderate" friend here. I call him wishy=washy and tell him he can't make up his mind.

You go and have his name taken off voting roll, I did as I moved from town to another. went to city hall and had my name removed and stood there till the girl took me off.

otherwise they would have made up their minds already and chosen sides.

This happens every election summer. Most people who don't pay all that much attention to politics don't even begin to make up their mind until after Labor Day and the debates.

Most of the polls conducted now are surveying people who will answer their phone and spend the time. This means liberals, unemployed, and others with a lot of time on their hands. This group is anything BUT the core of the electorate.

there was an article here a few days ago talking about how the core of RATS is a constant 22-24% of thier registered voters. and that the real factor in the election is the conservative base. when the pub running is staunch conservative, many pubs come out to vote. when he's a rhino (dole) nobody shows and the RAT wins. that is the best analysis i've seen on here.

if bush remains conservative and doesnt go wishy washy, i feel he will win. if he starts to slide and want to please everybody, we're screwed.

56% of the vote and 46 States is what I predict, and yes.... Bush will win California

that is the best analysis i've seen on here.

That's because the lamestream press doesn't dare mention the scale of vote fraud.

There's a lot going on that would make people angry enough to kill. And the press is not going to touch those issues.

Bookmark it, I said two weeks ago that Bush would start picking up and be ahead in the polls by the end of this week, and I also said he will never be behind again, and go on go win by a landslide... Mark my words

I don't believe Kerry can break 40% on election night BUT I DO believe that the Demon party is looking to lock up the presidency by fair means or foul and that they are working on ALL of the contingencies...RIGHT THIS MINUTE. With dead and illegal voters they will try to steal what they can't win.

I think you pegged it just about right. It will not be close. I can't wait to pull up a chair and watch Peter/Tom/Dan/Chris/CNN sputter and fume and spin as they try to speculate as to why the American people are so dumb/uninformed/uncaring as to reject the liberal Dem candidate.

It would be nice to see, though I will watch Fox News on Election Day. The liberal recaps (read: rants) I will read on Free Republic.

I'm going to act like a college professor for a moment (a rare CONSERVATIVE one). My tentative class title: Voter Fraud (and how to combat it). Required Reading: "At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried To Steal The Election" by Bill Sammon (aka "Stretch" as W calls him in the WH Press Corps).

If you cannot afford this book, read some of the recaps right here on Free Republic. Look for Gore+steal+election in the Browse window.

138 days to go until the election. Homework assignments:
1. Vote
2. If you need transportation to the booth, call someone
3. Offer yourself to drive to the polls those who cannot get there themselves.

There'll be a quiz on this later. We dare not fail it.

The most visible evidence is in inner city precincts where 100.2% of the voting-age population turns out even though 17% are convicted felons and another 20% are elderly shut-ins. This simply isn't plausible. Each major city has a few precincts like that - tens of thousands of fraudulent votes per city. Add the nursing home absentee ballot fraud, multiple voting, registration of illegals, etc. and the numbers easily climb into the millions nationwide.

From your lips to God's ears! Seriously, even those people who tell me they're Democrats tell me they're NOT voting for/not excited about/have serious concerns about JF'nKerry. When even hard-core Dems don't like him, he's got a problem.

This is another excellent analysis by Mr. Perry; I love his stuff!

Heh. I agree Meg.

DO you have any actual PROOF that the Dems have the slightest chance of attaining a landslide Gene? Anything? Anything at all???

I agree with the premise. When this turns out to be a 10%+ election win for President Bush, I'm going to want a WHOLE lot of answers from the media and polling outfits on how they tried to influence this election with their propaganda.

Specially that Rasmussen Daily poll that shows it as a dead heat EVERY single day!

Turnout is the key...they aren't passionate about Kerry, just against Bush..We are passionate about Bush and against Kerry...We need to get out our vote.
