SCOTT'S FISHY FURY

SCOTT'S FISHY FURY

By HOWARD BREUER

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 15, 2004 -- REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Scott Peterson hotly cursed and threw a flashlight after police grilled him about his suspicious fishing trip the day his pregnant wife, Laci, disappeared, one officer testified yesterday.

"I asked him what he was fishing for," Modesto Detective Matthew Spurlock told rapt jurors during the start of the third week of Peterson's murder trial.

"He had this blank look for a second or so, his eyes shifted a bit. And he didn't really answer the question.

"I asked what he was using for bait, and I got the same kind of response . . . this blank shifting," Spurlock said. "He couldn't really answer. Then he said, 'a silver lure,' and he held his hands about 7 to 8 inches apart."

Spurlock said that when he then asked Peterson to leave the house, he watched as the fertilizer salesman cursed through gritted teeth and threw a flashlight to the ground.

"It sounded like 'f - - -,' like it was being said out of frustration," the cop said............

Mistrial denied in surprise testimony

Mistrial denied in surprise testimony

REDWOOD CITY -- The judge in Scott Peterson's double-murder trial refused to declare a mistrial Monday over surprise testimony about Peterson's use of an obscenity shortly after his pregnant wife disappeared.

Superior Court Judge Alfred Delucchi gently chastised prosecutor Rick Distaso for pulling a fast one, but concluded that it was not a gross violation of trial procedure.

Also Monday, Sharon Rocha cried as she looked away from a large screen showing remains of her daughter, Laci Peterson. Minutes later, pictures of her smiling daughter splashed on the screen and Rocha quietly got up and exited the courtroom.

And two Modesto police officers said Scott Peterson seemed caught off-guard when first asked about his solo fishing trip.

Sparks flew after lead defense attorney Mark Geragos asked Delucchi for a mistrial, in a motion that drew snickers from the audience.........

>>Didn't they confiscate his computer? <<

According to the Catherine Crier show they confiscated four computers. One of them was a lap-top, and atleast one was from the warehouse.

LOL. I think I remember seeing Media coverage of that. It looked like a "didit"

Yes, it reminded me of the angry mob in the old Frankenstein movie. The cops should have opened the door and kicked him out of the car right then and there!

>> issue of the missing girl who was at UCLA <<

Scott and Laci were students at Cal State San Luis Obispo, not UCLA.

Scott had a golf scholarship for another college that he dropped out of before attending San Luis Obisbo. A girl did come up missing from the first college Scott attended.

I believe that Kristen Smart was missing from Cal Poly, not the college he attended in Arizona.
From what I have read, Scott has been cleared in her disappearence.

He is not insane, he is a sociopath.

He is very capable of behaving totally normally, he is devoid of a conscience. I doesn't so much not understand right from wrong, he just doesn't believe that it applied to him.

For him, right is what he wants right now. He doesn't understand why anybody thinks this is a big deal. He doesn't think it is abberant to be propositioning another woman. It's what he wants right now.

Oh My, my imagination is running away.. I'm thinking that he surrounded himself with Caligula or DeSade type images 24/7 using 4 Computers.. No. Can't be...

Then again, wasn't their a rumor a year + ago that Scott propositioned a Gay Guy in a Bar? That a guy came forward through some tabloid.

"You are completely correct on the litter box issue. There is a parasite in some cat feces that, if it gets into a pregnant woman's body by inhalation or from hands that are mnot washed immediately, it will definitely affect the growing baby. Better that the pregnant woman stay clear of the litter box."

It's not a parasite. It is the cytomegalo virus. It is in the herpes family.

This sonar business just doesn't ring true IMO. Especially the part about reading the label on her slacks. WHAT?? Unless she had them on wrong-side-out, the label would be against her body and not visible. If the label part isn't true, I seriously doubt any of the rest of this story is true. So much rumor, so little testimony.

Absolutely! And the investigators would never have left the scene till they recovered the evidence - especially in that LE already had Scott's marina ticket.

I'm surprised any FReeper would fall for this kind of "in-the-know" junk post.

Need help with details. Wasn't a girl missing from the Arizona college during the time Scott attended? Isn't it an unsolved mystery?

IIRC, Scott left without explaination.

Kristin Smart - Cal Poly

Thanks. I felt that when I was typing UCLA it probably wasn't correct, but for the life of me I couldn't think of Cal Poly.

You are so right, this guy is one sick, perverted puke!! I know that Geragos is the King of excuses but just try and give a "rational or reasonable" explanation to bestiality. Can't be done. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Peterson had killed before. He does NOT have a conscience.

Spunky do you remember that the Prosecution had retrieved 31 items from the Bay that they were going to catalogue and then turn over to the Defense.? There could be some pretty interesting stuff amongst those items. Far as I'm concerned, I'm NOT watching OR listening to the talking heads any longer. They upset me greatly. IF, and I'm just surmising here, they have even ONE of the homemade anchors with anything of Laci attached, I think the laughter amongst the Jurors will stop pretty fast. IF not, they should not be Jurors.
