the heads of state from Germany, Italy, Ireland, South Africa, Nigeria, Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Afghanistan, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Grenada and Haiti have confirmed that they will be present.

Wow. What a historical legacy. Former President Ronald Reagan not only helped this country peacably win the cold war, but some of the countries listed above owe their very existance and/or their freedom to Reagan.

Churches are urged to toll bells FridayLOS ANGELES, June 8 (UPI) -- President Reagan's family Tuesday urged churches across the United States to ring their bells Friday at the conclusion of his state funeral in Washington.

The family issued a statement saying they would like churches everywhere to join in when the bells of the National Cathedral begin to toll 40 times in honor of Reagan, who was the nation's 40th president.

The cathedral bells will ring starting in the capital at approximately 1:15 p.m. EDT Friday.***

"We are at extremely heightened security," Mr. Rixon said.

If terrorists tried to desecrate Reagan's memory by trying something at his funeral, it would be their worst miscalculation ever. The ensuing call for total, absolute, unmerciless destruction upon their heads would be a site to behold.
